Welcome to Going Green with Lisa Bronner! My family has been making soap for five generations, the last three of which have run Dr. Bronner’s Magic Soaps, a company founded by my grandfather Dr. Emanuel Bronner, who began making his iconic Peppermint Castile Soap in 1948.
Through my Going Green channels, I share the many uses for our Castile Soap and other products. You’ll also find tips for simpler & healthier living, an understanding of the products we use for home & personal care, how to decipher ingredients & navigate shopping aisles, and stories about the Bronner family & the company we run.
My goal is to inspire both bright spring green beginners & those steeped in deep lush green. Whether you watch my videos here, pick up a tip on my Facebook feed, take in the articles on my blog, or read my book Soap & Soul: A Practical Guide to Minding Your Home, Your Body, and Your Spirit with Dr. Bronner’s Magic Soaps, I hope your days become a little brighter and a little more beautiful.

What a great chat I had with Angela Brown from “Ask a Housecleaner!” I was glad for a chance to give some love to Sal Suds in this interview, and how and why my dad, Jim Bronner, developed it.
Also check out a bunch of the uses for the Castile Soap, when to use Castile Soap and when to use Sal Suds, and a bit of what it was like to grow up in the Bronner realm and with a one-of-a-kind grandfather.
Check out the cheat sheets I mention for the Castile and the Sal Suds. Thank you, Angela!
