What I learn from Krishna?
Lord Krishna shared one of his deepest teachings with Arjuna amid the chaos at Kurukshetra battlefield. This teaching appeals to millions who seek inner peace during life's challenges.
अध्याय 2, श्लोक 47
कर्मण्येवाधिकारस्ते मा फलेषु कदाचन।
मा कर्मफलहेतुर्भूमा ते सङ्गोऽस्त्वकर्मणि॥
"You have a right to perform your prescribed duties, but you are not entitled to the fruits of your actions," Krishna declared. These words laid the foundation of karma yoga - the path of selfless action.
Krishna addresses a basic human trait: we hold onto our action's fruits and get emotionally tangled in success and failure. Results depend on many factors we can't control. We free ourselves from needless worry by focusing on our duties without attachment.
