Hi I’m Ran and I run this YouTube channel called Beyond the Blackboard on how to “live your best life” at GCSE / A level time and beyond.
It’s been 10 years since I left school and I’ve crammed a lot in that time. I want to share what I’ve learned in my time as a Science teacher, working across many industries and travelling the world. To help you with questions like “how do I get top grades?”, “what I do after school?”, even “who do I want to be?

Thanks for those who voted in the poll yesterday for the direction of this channel. It's given me a clear direction for the channel going forward:
-52% said you want videos accelerating your learning
-26% said you want discovering opportunities for your future
So I've brainstormed a load of videos to boost your learning / grades AND begun to reach out to my edu-network to get the best "future building" opportunities for you guys.
I may also sneak a cheeky science song parody in there as well for my own entertainment ;)

Hey guys! Now I've reached 1000 subscribers I can update you on stuff via this. V exciting! Just to update you I have a couple of vids in the pipeline. First will be a new Edu-experts vid with Oliver from Unirise, giving advice to A level 2020 students on big university decisions. And a "WHAT NOW" vid with your grades now being Teacher assessed.
