On this day 16 years ago I uploaded my very first YouTube video recorded with an SD video camera that I bought for $150 on Black Friday at Best Buy. I quickly learned how to record and edit a simple video and after a lot of trial and error finally got everything to work. That video ended up on the front page of the Lesson section of Gibson.com about 5 months later. I couldn't believe it! Thanks for the continued support. It means more than you know.

New Strat in the house. Digging the Olympic White and the pickups are what I've been searching for. No treble bleed on this one so works great with a fuzz. 62 reisssue built to Wilcutt Specs of an original 62 they saw come through the door.

Two months ago my left arm started swelling up and turning blue seemingly out of nowhere. After going to the ER they told me I had a Blood Clot in my left arm and they were going to do all they could to keep something fatal from happening. I don't think I've prayed that much at once in my lifetime. I guess God is not done with me yet on this earth. That's why I haven't posted any new videos in awhile. It was an extremely scary event but the doctors said I was lucky that I came in when I did.
I've just recently started doing some light playing after two months of no guitar at all and it's been going well. During this time I've also been doing sessions about Body Mapping so this doesn't happen again in the future. It's based on the Alexander Technique which many Classical musicians study.
Since the Doctor said this was a provoked DVT I will need to get more movement throughout the day and not sit so much. I'll also be on Blood Thinners for 6 months so this clot I have won't move.
Anyways, hope to make some videos relatively soon. I've worked up a different set for the videos moving forward that I think works well. Thanks for watching!
John

What's your favorite color on a Strat? My Sherwood Green Metallic has become my favorite but have always wanted one in Fiesta Red :)
