I never really post about personal stuff on here, but I want to talk about something that I’ve been thinking about for a while now…

I’ve been doing Youtube specifically on Slap Battles for over 2 years and it truly has changed my life. I know it sounds corny and fake, but I really do mean that. Before Slap Battles, over 100 views on a video was insane to me. Now if I ever got 100 views on a video it would be the biggest fall off of one of my videos lol. Years ago when I was uploading random Roblox videos, I didn’t really care about my analytics. I barely edited videos, and Youtube was just something I did for the heck of it. Then one day I discovered Slap Battles, and I decided to only make videos on Slap Battles, and that’s what I’ve been doing ever since.

Because I focused on one game, I was able to build an audience easier since I wasn’t jumping from game to game. I was able to make myself known in one community, and it worked. I started averaging 500, 1K, 5K, 10-50K+ views per video. I also began to significantly increase my editing quality, and looking back you can see the difference right away from videos 2 years ago to videos now. And honestly from everything I’ve said so far this sounds like the dream life.

But Youtube isn’t all positive. I will spend hours recording, editing, and uploading a video I’ve worked really hard on. And the video under performs. Views are much lower, watch time decreases drastically, and if you’ve experienced this before you know that feeling after seeing your video do worse than usual just really sucks.

Another thing is just seeing other Youtubers videos do better than mine can really make me feel discouraged. I really try not to get jealous or compare myself to others because that’s a bad habit and other Youtubers deserve everything they have and more than that. It’s just kinda a natural response for me and I’m trying to work on that about myself.

I didn’t make this post as a sob story or make people feel they didn’t give me what I wanted, because at the end of the day I have a lot more than what many have. Many don’t get the views I get, many don’t have as much subscribers as I do, many don’t have as much support as I do. And just thinking about that makes me really grateful for what I have, because there’s always people who have more than you, and less than you. You can never expect to be the best out of everyone, but proudly standing where you are in life is enough.

Anyways, I know you guys probably didn’t go to my channel to read a massive speech and I apologize for that lol. I just kinda wanted to let out these thoughts I’ve been having for a while. Have a good day/night everyone :)
