In March 2004, Andre Thomas was spiraling in plain sight.

He was hearing voices, seeing visions, suffering religious delusions and hurting himself.

On March 25, Andre arrived at a Texas hospital after st🔪bbing himself in the chest, saying he was trying to “cross into heaven.”

Doctors wanted him held for psychiatric evaluation.

But while waiting for a judge…

HE WALKED OUT.

No emergency hold.
No one stopped him.

🚨 TWO DAYS LATER, THREE PEOPLE WERE D34D.

Andre went to his 20-year-old ex-wife Laura Thomas’ home, where she was with their 4-year-old son Andre Jr. and her 1-year-old daughter Leah.

He brought three knives, later saying he didn’t want to “cross-contaminate” their blood.

He believed they were possessed by demons.

All three were brutally k*lled and mutilated.

Afterward, Andre called Laura’s parents and left a chilling voicemail:

“I need y’all’s help… I think I’m in hell.”

He turned himself in.

While incarcerated, he later gouged out both of his own eyes in separate incidents, reportedly driven by his continuing delusions.

Andre was diagnosed with schizophrenia, convicted of capital murder and sentenced to d34th.

But this case leaves one haunting question:

How does someone arrive at a hospital in an obvious psychiatric crisis…and simply WALK OUT?

Because the warning signs weren’t discovered afterward."
