Did you know the greatest pain in life is not setting enough goals?
A stock investor feels the most pain when selling a stock too soon — the fortune remains untapped.
A teenager becomes disillusioned with the world because no one told them purpose can be found within.
A self-built house is never perfectly finished because the owners wanted to move in too soon.
Do you see the common theme?
Goals don’t have to be grand or perfect — they can be simple, clear intentions.
I will find my wife the perfect Christmas gift.
I bought TerrAscend stock at $0.89 — I’ll sell it when it reaches $2.50.
In three months, we’ll begin developing our (eco)village.
Goals can also be more abstract when they rise from the subconscious:
I will start teaching people how to design biophilic villages.
In five years, we will do business in the Middle East and help build bridges between the Orient and the Occident.
In my lifetime, I will build 100 ecovillages.
Recently, I set a new goal. A few months ago, a forestry company bought one hectare of land next to us to clear-cut it. I said, We’ll buy it from you — no matter what. On Monday, we’re going to the solicitor.
We are used to Le Corbusier-style functional architecture and his idea of a “machine for living,” seeing similar apartment blocks repeated around the world.
There is a Soviet comedy film where a man falls asleep and wakes up in another town, but funnily everything is the same, because the city was based on a standard plan by the same architect, even down to his street address, “Builders Way.”
In the early 1980s, Walter Segal led a group of self-builders in Lewisham, London, to build their own houses, and the streets were named in his honour: Segal Close and Walter’s Way.
This was a step towards more organic architecture, where people created houses according to their own needs and functions, rather than inhabiting one-size-fits-all boxes.
Today, many architects are pioneering biophilic design, where nature meets the building.
They play with form, materials, and the way a house can be incorporated into the landscape so that it feels rooted in place instead of imposed on it.
My own designs will eventually integrate EDE (ecovillage) and PDC (permaculture) thinking at the settlement scale.
The aim is a cohesive expression of space, where outdoor and indoor areas function as a unified whole rather than separate realms.
In colder climates, this means more winter gardens and greenhouses; in warmer climates, it means thermosyphon rooms and water-harvesting elements.
In one Danish ecovillage, for example, a septic tank was placed under a greenhouse so that all waste, including feces and urine, was transformed into fertiliser for grapes and tomatoes.
There are countless genius designs like this—so the real question is how to implement them at scale.
Habits to Become a Wealth Steward (A reminder for myself!)
1. Attract silver pennies and the gold ones will follow naturally. Remember — speaking is silver, silence is gold. Speak your mind boldly until you’ve achieved what you set out to become.
2. Develop an addictive personality toward micro-investing. Commit at least 20% of your income to your investment portfolio — even if it means delaying minor bills.
3. Become a more gracious person. Practice kindness deliberately in every interaction — hold doors open to women, offer genuine compliments, and lead with respect.
4. Channel inner frustration into building a business rather than wasting that energy elsewhere.
5. Take the steps you can right now. If you feel lost, write your thoughts down. Clarity often appears through reflection. When in doubt, set a reminder and keep moving.
6. Be strategic with your spending and delay gratification. Embrace frugality, but also remember to care for your wife’s needs along the way.
7. Write down your goals. The more specific you are about your day, week, month, year, and decade — the more focused your progress becomes.
Avoid: hustle culture, poor clothing choices, and giving in to negativity or insults.
As an aspiring land developer (meaning I currently hold 4.5 hectares of land and want to acquire an additional 16.9 hectares), I recently came across a news article:
The ‘bonkers’ plan to build a brand new city for one million people lnkd.in/dD_qx3Sn
It described a group of investors planning to build a £100bn city on the Cambridgeshire–Suffolk border.
It reminded me of how, years ago, when King Charles decided to build his own town, Poundbury, people thought he was overly ambitious.
Now this new “Poundbury” will be something closer to a “Teslabury,” with modern technology woven into wooden apartment districts and sustainable infrastructure.
As I’m currently scouting a nearby 16.9-hectare area where I want to build a village for children, seeing others with such massive ambitions makes me realise something:
My own ambition is not too big — it’s actually very achievable.
If people can plan a city for a million people, then surely I can find the means to build something meaningful for families who need more community, nature and belonging.
Do you have your own version of “Poundbury” or “Teslabury” in mind?
On Saturday, April 5th, 12:00 PM EEST (UTC+3), you can join a live broadcast to listen to the sounds of gongs and journey in harmony with the universe.
The sounds help you relax, connect with your true essence, and tune into the purity and purpose of your soul.
The sounds will be played for you by Simo Santeri Virtanen, who has been practicing sound therapy since 2014.
Note! The event will be streamed live on YouTube (with the option to watch later).
Been long crafting a message that would be compelling.
There are three problems in this world: health, mentality and wealth.
It is our turn to create systems for entrepreneurs that their aim would be instead of profit a service to humankind.
Profit always follows the work.
But for attunement we must work on our health - clean up our food and detoxify the brain from heavy metals. Learn to think positively (constructice criticism is actually a form of positive thinking). Lastly, we have to create wealth that sustains itself instead of robbery on expense of the planet.
