This shortcut list can be a great helper to learn piano on Youtube. I use it all the time. The one I use most often to learn passages is the left arrow to jump back 5 seconds.

Besides, it's not yet known to everybody that you can slow down a video in the settings of the Youtube video player. ( little cog wheel directly in the player, at the bottom) It will sound less good, but that shouldn't not matter for learning.

Secondly, Youtube introduced "Automatic Synchronisation", rolling out for more and more videos. That means, if you are in France, for example, instead of my wonderful voice you might hear an Ai generated voice in French. This might be helpful for some. If you want to hear the original Audio (me), you can turn this off at the bottom of the video player.

Have a great Sunday, everyone!

Nature greetings to my community from the small and beautiful island of Ærø in Denmark, where I’m spending a four-day holiday! Living in Berlin, it’s great to escape into nature and feel a strong wind blowing in your face every now and then.
Hope you’re all doing well!

TIME FOR A FIVE MINUTE BREAK!
Have a rest for a moment and enjoy some good old school recreation:
Laurel & Hardy, The Piano Movers
(This is a different one than the one most will know. This one has a gorilla and suspension bridge. )

I wish all of you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from Berlin!

I will be celebrating Christmas with my mum and my brother in my hometown Kiel in Northern Germany. Cold and dark, but "gemütlich". It's a very German word and sentiment which only roughly translates to "cozy".
If you want, let me know where you are and how you are celebrating. I heard that in the US you get the gifts in the morning. So it seems all very different all over the world.

One pro tip from your teacher: We all gotta burn those calories from the food and the sweets, right?
Now, practicing two-handed octaves on tempo 170 for an hour is about twice as effective as going to the gym for the same time. It's science. :-)

Nibbling already some pre-Christmas Massepain-Nougat cakes,

Very funny, I find! I was especially cracking up about the essence of the Blues.

I know that many have been waiting. Now it's done. The next part will be COCKTAIL PIANO BLUESY STYLES and is coming next weekend!
Dear followers from Europe: Please take a short break from the Football Championship next week to leave a like! :-)
( For some reason watching piano tutorials always loses against major sports events)
OK, gotta go back to the TV!! Denmark vs. Slovenia! Blues scales can wait...
Thank you!

Some of you might not like digitally created images. But if I can get creative, I just can't resist to play with it.
Here I imagined a petrol station with pianos instead of gas pumps. Since we have e-car charging stations, why not have the same for piano players who, when on a trip, can recharge their souls with a round of piano playing?
Anybody in for a start-up? :-)

What a great piece of engineering! Isn't it at least a little bit sad, that we can just press a plastic knob " Grand Piano 3" ?
