Trigeminal Neuralgia is often seen as a rare, confusing and extremely painful condition. Patients often feel alone, obviously in tremendous pain, and frustrated. Family and friends often feel lost and helpless with not knowing how to support their loved ones.
As a neuralgia warrior, I realized how crucial it is to raise awareness and provide information to those seeking help. I am not a doctor. I am simply a patient who has and is still going through chronic pain. Unfortunately sometimes doctors don't have all the answers so patients often have to research on their own.
In the past I've gotten a few questions about this terrible disease, often nicknamed "the suicide disease". Because of the extreme pain and lack of effective treatment option.
📌I want you to send me your questions if you have any.
Why am I qualified to answer your questions if I am not a doctor? Because I've suffered it for several years now. ⚡️ I've rode the waves and fortunately I have better understanding on how to cope, reduce some of symptoms to learn to live with it, which requires navigating daily life differently.
Unfortunately one of my disabilities is cognitive memory impairment so I cannot recall which year my condition started. But it's been several years now. I've been through the gamut of medication like 💊 Trileptal, gabapentin, Tegretol, etc. (I'm still on Amitriptyline...) Also as shown in photo, I went through decompression and excision surgery.
Technically I have what is called Auricolortemporal Neuralgia and not Trigeminal, as Trigeminal is more often characterized by jaw pain but both root cause starts at right behind the ear bone.
In any case, send me your questions and I would like to do a video series on this. It will take time...As the information is going to be a lot but I hope it helps someone!

🦋Hi Everyone! 🦋I just opened my first Etsy/Printify shop. Another way to show your support to this channel. This is just a pop up for now but I'm hoping it will grow into something greater.
We have two items in shop right now. A cute Kitty mug that says "Is it Delicious? is It Nutritious?" All my friends know this is a default saying I have when I see my loved ones try out my food. I feel exactly like this cat eyeing on the plate of fish!
My second item is something I personally wanted. A snuggly pull over hoodie for those "Don't Bother Me" days where you are in so much pain and fatigue, that you don't have the energy to deal with the world. The hoodie has a front and back.
