Hi! We're Anna and Josiah, wife and husband of 6 years! We google our way through whole-house DIY renovations & real estate investing. We're working on our 1960 raised rancher in the suburbs of Baltimore. In the City we have 3 houses we rent out on 90+ day leases! Plus we have an additional STR in Luray, VA. We just started renovating our 5th old house and we couldn't be more excited! Living in a renovation can be difficult but we're up for the challenge!

#financefriday I posted this on stories yesterday but thought it was worthy of a feed post! This is The Orchard, our struggle bus investment. 😭
It’s a short term rental and we’ve owned it since 2022- we’ve had our ups and downs with it over the years, but our 2025 outlook is the best it’s been!
Comparing the start of 2024 to the start of 2025, we’re up $5,885!! 👏🏻
We did a lot of upgrades in 2024 including adding a hot tub, griddle grill, horseshoe pits, volleyball net, we insulated the crawl space, did a coaching call, got pricelabs and new professional photos.
Obviously all these upgrades cost 💰, so we basically broke even in 2024, but we are really hoping to make a profit this year!
How’s your STR doing? Everyone is talking about the #airbnbbust, but in my opinion, to make money on @airbnb it just takes effort + creating a unique property. Before, you could just throw any property up on Airbnb and make bank.
