Do you miss the golden age of quarterbacks too?
Week 1 of this NFL season had 14 QBs throw for under 200 yards. Nineteen threw for 225 or less.
Meanwhile, in Week 1 of 2011:
Chad Henne threw for 400 yards.
Kyle Orton and Rex Grossman both topped 300.
From 2008-16 the league was stacked with legends: Brady, Manning, Brees, Rodgers, Romo, Cam, Big Ben, Luck, Rivers, Matt Ryan, Favre, Warner, Stafford, Eli.
Now we’re looking at Geno Smith and Joe Flacco leading the top 5 in Week 1 passing yards… in 2025.
QB play has fallen hard.
It used to be electric every single week.
Now it’s checkdowns, missed reads, and 178-yard stat lines.
