I currently reside now in Raleigh, NC after spending over 30 years as a resident of Lake Worth, Fl. I'm a musician for life and have been doing it professionally for over 3 decades. I'm a singer/songwriter with probably 400 originals, but my artistic path has changed focus to that of being more of a song interpreter simply because to play out and to make a living doing it, you really have to play songs that people know and want to hear. Now some of the songs that I've uploaded here are done for my own reference . I'm glad that we now have YouTube. Which is a great tool I also think that what they are doing here is helping to revolutionize the music industry. Many of us remember slowing down the LPs to learn songs, well we are able to use YouTube in a similar way. Lately, I have gotten back to performing live again and it's something that I hope to do for the rest of my days here-God Willing..

Ok, I finished my Bob Dylan Tribute YouTube Album. It consists of 16 songs and can be found in the Playlists section. This truly was a labor of love and in my opinion Bob Dylan is the greatest singer/songwriter this planet has EVER produced. I believe his music will be remembered hundreds of years into the future, in the same way that Bach and Beethoven's music is today. I hope you might take some time and give a listen to some, or all of this music which was recorded along with my online Jim DiBattista Band. Joe Coghlan plays drums and lends his amazing harmony singing skills. Bob Starr played lead guitar on most of this work, Carl Garthwaite played some bass, and my very talented son, James Dominick played keys and helped in production and mastering these recordings. As for me, I did whatever else needed to be played on acoustic and electric guitars, bass, piano, harmonica, percussion as well as all lead vocals.

I noticed that I hadn't posted anything in this spot since January so I figured I might as well give an update as to what is going on. Over the past few years we have been losing so many great artists that I have decided what I am going to do at my live gigs is to be performing the music of the singer/songwriter era of the late 60s' and the 1970s'. Artists like Van Morrison, James Taylor, Gordon Lightfoot, Harry Chapin, Jimmy Buffett, Jackson Browne, Neil Young, Bruce Springsteen, Bob Seger, Tom Petty, John Mellencamp, Bob Dylan Jim Croce, David Bowie, and Eric Clapton as well as the music of great bands like The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Band, The Grateful Dead, Marshall Tucker, Lynyrd Skynyrd and The Allman Brothers just to name a few. I am please to report that people at the venues I play have been responding well to this approach.
