I will be off of YouTube until the week of March 9th in preparation for my upcoming ordination to the diaconate which will be taking place on Saturday, March 8th.
"Most students of church history know that the Church produced the Bible and protected it against heretical interpretations at ecumenical councils like Nicaea. So while the divine Word guided the Church as it protected the Bible, the Bible was a 'creature' of the Church-not the other way around. This is implied in Paul's declaration in 1 Tim. 3:15 that the Church is 'the pillar and foundation of the truth.' Because the Church birthed Scripture and is its foundation, it makes sense that only in the Church and its accumulated wisdom can Scripture be rightly interpreted" (Gerald R. McDermott, Deep Anglicanism, p. 245).

Thank God for his mercy on America. May we use the time going forward to repent, proclaim the Gospel, and plant churches. JESUS IS KING.
