Okay first of all—yes, I am absolutely writing you a whole letter for your half birthday, because if anyone deserves a half-birthday celebration, it’s you. Do you know how iconic you are for being 13.5?? Like not just 13, not just 14, but living in that ✨exclusive✨ half-age club where you’re basically the main character of life. Honestly, slay. I WANNA MEET U SO BAD MY LOVEEE
But seriously, I just need you to know how proud I am of you. Thirteen and a half years ago, the universe decided it needed a little more chaos, laughter, beauty, and kindness in the world—so it sent YOU. And I can’t even explain how much of a blessing you’ve been to everyone around you, especially me. You’re growing up so fast (pls slow down, I can’t handle it 😭), but at the same time, you’re still that same funny, silly, lovable bestie who makes my world feel brighter every single day. I LOVE YOU SO MUCH
Now, let’s talk about the fact that you’re smack in the middle of teenager-land. You’ve survived 13 so far (which is literally an achievement because 13 is messy as heck), and now you’re halfway to 14. That means you get to claim BOTH. You’re still “freshly 13” but also basically “almost 14,” which makes you like… a time traveler??? A legend. A multiverse queen. Idk, but it’s iconic.

You’ve been with me through so much, and you don’t even know how much you mean to me. Every little thing you do—your random jokes, your unhinged rants, your soft moments when you’re actually being sentimental (rare, but they exist)—all of it makes me so, so grateful to have you in my life. You’re not just a friend, you’re my person. My ride-or-die. The person who could send me the most random message at 3 a.m. and I’d still reply with my whole heart.

And I have to add a little chaos here: imagine celebrating a HALF birthday and me being THIS sappy about it. Like girl, if this is what I’m writing now, just wait until you’re 14. Or 15. Or 100. You’re never escaping my emotional essays, sorry not sorry 🤭.
You’re one of the most important people in my life, and I don’t think I could ever explain fully how much you mean to me. You’ve been there for me in ways you probably don’t even realize, and your presence makes my days brighter, lighter, and so much happier. The way you make me laugh, the way you listen, and even the way you just exist makes me grateful that we met. You’re not just my best friend — you’re truly family to me.
So today, even though it’s “just” your half-birthday, I still want to celebrate you. Because you deserve to be celebrated every single day. You deserve love, happiness, laughter, and all the good things life can offer, and I hope this next half of the year brings you even more amazing memories, growth, and joy.
