π Giving Awesome Shoutouts! π
Want to spread some good vibes and make your colleagues feel like rockstars?
Check out these tips for giving killer shoutouts:
1οΈβ£ Get specific: Ditch the generic stuff and get down to the nitty-gritty. Call out the exact things that impressed you. Whether it's their killer presentation skills or their superhuman coding abilities, make it clear why they're awesome.
2οΈβ£ Be quick on the draw: Don't sit on your praises! Deliver that high-five ASAP. When you see someone doing something amazing, let 'em know right away. Timely recognition shows you're paying attention and boosts their confidence.
3οΈβ£ Keep it real: Nobody likes fake flattery. Be genuine, my friends. Speak from the heart and let your appreciation shine through. When your words are honest and authentic, they'll hit home and mean so much more.
4οΈβ£ Show the ripple effect: Highlight the positive impact their work has had on the team, the department, or even the entire company. Make 'em see how their efforts are making a difference. That's some serious motivation right there!
5οΈβ£ Embrace the growth mindset: Connect the dots between their stellar performance and their personal development. Help them see how their strengths can be honed even further. Encourage 'em to keep pushing and reaching for the stars.
6οΈβ£ Public or private? You decide: Some folks love a public pat on the back, while others prefer a more private acknowledgment. Know your peeps and choose the approach that suits 'em best. It's all about making 'em feel valued and appreciated.
7οΈβ£ Share the love: Don't hog all the praise for yourself. Encourage your team to give each other props too. When everyone's celebrating each other's wins, it creates an amazing culture of teamwork and support.
Example:
"Hey Monica, I just wanted to give you a big shoutout for your exceptional work on the XYZ project. Your attention to detail and creative problem-solving skills were off the charts! π
I was truly impressed by how you tackled those complex challenges head-on and delivered outstanding results. Your ability to think outside the box and come up with innovative solutions was inspiring to witness. You took the project to a whole new level, and I can't thank you enough for your dedication and hard work. πͺ"
Remember, positive feedback is like rocket fuel for motivation and engagement. By sharing the love and recognizing your colleagues' awesomeness, you're building a workplace where everyone feels pumped and ready to conquer the world! π

π It's incredible how career journeys have evolved over the last few years! π
π What we were taught growing up:
π¨βπ¬ Become an engineer, doctor, or accountant
π’ Stay in the same company for at least 10 years
π’ Go to the office 5-6 days a week
πͺ Work hard, impress your boss, climb the corporate ladder
ποΈ Retire and feel good about your loyalty for all your years of service
π‘ What career trajectories look like today:
π Do the work that reflects your skills and interests
π‘ Work from home, or anywhere else, as long as the work gets done
π₯ Work at multiple companies and have 2-3 careers in a lifetime
π― Portfolio of careers is preferred over doing just one thing your whole life
πΌ Try a side hustle as an entrepreneur, investor, creator, freelancer, etc.
π The 'one life, one career' concept is not the norm anymore. As we evolve along with the rest of the world, our careers have evolved too. π±

π± Say less, do more! Consume less, create more! π±
β³ In a world overflowing with information, it's easy to get lost in the noise. But remember, true progress is not measured by how much we consume, but by what we create. It's time to break free from the cycle of endless scrolling and start building something extraordinary!
π¨ Instead of being a passive observer, become an active participant in shaping your own destiny. Whether it's launching that innovative startup, writing that book you've always dreamed of, or creating art that moves souls β the power to create lies within you.
π Embrace the transformative power of creation. Step out of your comfort zone, take risks, and let your imagination run wild. The world is waiting for your unique ideas, talents, and contributions. Don't hold back!
π By consuming less and creating more, we not only unleash our individual potential but also make a positive impact on the world around us. Every creation has the power to inspire, educate, and bring about meaningful change. Together, we can build a better future.
π‘ So, my friends, let's challenge ourselves to say less and do more. Let's consume less and create more. Let's be the catalysts of change and innovation. Together, let's create a world where our actions speak louder than our words.

Are you struggling to manage your time? β°
Here is simple 3 Step process which is helping me to manage my time and work effectively:
1οΈβ£ Before I go to bed, I open my Google Calendar ποΈ in my phone and write down 3 top tasks which I need to complete the next day.
2οΈβ£ I set reminders π for all those tasks at different timing during the day which I think are doable at that time.
3οΈβ£ I try to complete the tasks when the Reminder pops up and mark them done β at the same time, if possible.
This helps my mind π§ to subconsciously remind me of those 3 tasks even before the Reminder will pop up..
Try this out, its been 2 weeks I have been following this technique and it is working perfectly for me and I am able to complete the tasks which I think of, in the specific time period.
Previously, I have tried out maintaining a long list of To Do π Items which I can never complete. So changed the approach and it is working like magic.
Let me know if there is any other easy technique to manage time in the comment box. π
Would love to hear.

"Many people have misconceptions about conducting a job search through LinkedIn." π§
Some believe that simply sending a message to any recruiter will secure them the job, but that's not the case. Others think that applying with the 'Easy Apply' feature guarantees a job, which is also untrue. So, what actually works?π
It's all about taking things a step further!π
After applying for a job on LinkedIn:
βA. If you see the option 'Meet the Hiring Team,' click on it to view the individuals responsible for hiring for that job.
Reach out to the relevant person with a personalized note to express your skills and interest in the position. You can use the following template:
"Hello [Hiring Manager's Name],
I recently came across the job posting you shared on LinkedIn for the [Position] role. As an experienced professional in [Your Profession/Industry], I strongly believe that my skills in [skills that align with the job description] and my relevant experience make me an excellent fit for this position.
I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to discuss my qualifications with you and learn more about the [Position].
Best regards,
[Your Name]"
βB. If the 'Meet the Hiring Team' option is unavailable:
Visit the company page, navigate to the employees section, and search for individuals with the same job title mentioned in the job post. Connect with at least five people who have a similar location and experience level, sending each of them a personalized note. You can use the following template:
"Hello [Connection's Name],
I came across a job posting for a [Position] role at [Company] and noticed that you hold the same position. I wanted to inquire if there is an opening in your team or if you are familiar with the person responsible for hiring for this role.
I am genuinely interested in learning more about this opportunity and would greatly appreciate any information you can share. I look forward to hearing back from you.
Best regards,
[Your Name]"
If they are aware of the opportunity or the hiring person, that's fantastic!
βC. If they respond saying they don't have any information, you can send the following note:
"Thank you for letting me know!
I am truly enthusiastic about this job as I believe that my skills and experience would make me a strong candidate for the position.
I have one last request: if you feel comfortable providing a referral for me, it would be immensely appreciated. Having a referral from someone who is familiar with the company and the role would significantly enhance my chances of being considered for the position.
I hope I can be of assistance to you in the near future.
Best regards,
[Your Name]"
π‘Remember, it's essential to go the extra mile, especially during these challenging times for job seekers due to layoffs. Additionally, make sure you have a strong LinkedIn profile with a solid presence to improve your response rate."

Why weak Connections matter so much? π―
Making Connections isn't the easiest thing to do, and figuring out where to focus your efforts can be even harder.
An article by Harvard Business Review π explains that weak ties or weak connections can be more effective in helping a job seeker land a new role than closer connections.
To give an example of this, a person might be more likely to land a new role π©π»βπ» through a LinkedIn connection that they've never met than through a close friend or family member. π‘
I can say that this holds true, per my experience π. I've received an incredible amount of opportunities via LinkedIn from people that I've never even met (in person) before.
The internet has made it possible for us to connect with people around the world, and platforms like LinkedIn have made it possible to connect with new people and cultivate professional relationships.
We now have the ability to expand our circles beyond our physical reach and create these "weak" connections that could land us a job or even get us a promotion.
Moral: The world is full of incredible opportunities and LinkedIn is the way to connect with the people and grab those opportunities π . Focus on making new connections, and don't be afraid to make connections beyond who you know or who they know. Weak connections matter!
So get out there and start connecting! π€π»

I remember being part of a interview panel when we needed to make a tough decision between two candidates. Hereβs how we finally decided whom to hireπ€ :
Both candidates had great experience and education.
What set them apart was that the first candidate asked many questions about the company and the team.π£οΈ
He referred to the company's recent news and asked about examples of how is the culture of the company so employee friendly.
He asked if we expected him to put in long hours consistently or only during the peak times of a project.
He also asked about the work from home flexibility.
Everybody on the panel agreed that these questions signaled that first candidate:
β Wanted to be 100% sure he would be happy and productive in his role.
β Was able to set clear boundaries, and we knew that would make him successful in the long run.
Dear candidates, remember that your ability to turn an interview into a conversation is a sign of confidence and competence.
You want to talk about things that are important to you because your happiness matters AND because this will help you get the job.
