When learning meets experience, it becomes a pathway to employability.

TP Solar Ltd., Tata Power Renewables' manufacturing arm, in collaboration with the Directorate of Technical Education (DOTE), Tamil Nadu and Guidance Tamil Nadu, inaugurated Batch 2 of the Diploma in Renewable Energy programme, marking another step towards equipping young learners for the world of work.

The inaugural session was joined by Mr. Balaji Parthasarathy, CEO, TP Solar Ltd.; Ms. Anupama Ratta, Chief – Human Resources & ES&A, TPREL & DEI, Tata Power, and Mr. Mukul Mishra, Chief - Plant & Manufacturing, TP Solar Ltd., who shared perspectives on building future-ready talent through technical learning, industry exposure and professional development.

Through the Earn While You Learn model, students gain hands-on industry experience while developing technical skills, confidence, workplace discipline and professional readiness. The impact goes beyond the workplace. For many, the stipend has helped support their families and siblings, while the experience has opened up new possibilities for their own futures.

Tata Power Renewables has commissioned a 72.5 MW captive solar project at Kalasar, Bikaner, Rajasthan. This is a step to supply reliable and clean energy to Tata Steel Limited, as a part of its decarbonisation journey.

Expected to generate 166 MUs of green energy annually and offset approximately 118,856 tonnes of carbon emissions every year, the project deploys 171,360 solar modules manufactured by TP Solar Ltd., the solar manufacturing arm of Tata Power Renewables.

Tata Power Renewables has commissioned a 190.5 MW Solar Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) project at Kalasar, Bikaner, Rajasthan, under SJVN FDRE Tranche-1. The project forms part of the 460 MW contractual FDRE capacity and marks an important step towards delivering renewable power that is clean, firm and dispatchable.

Integrating large-scale solar generation with a 115 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) and advanced grid-support technologies including a Harmonic Filter Bank (HFB) and Static Var Generator (SVG), the project is designed to strengthen grid reliability and enable greater operational flexibility. It will supply energy to HPPC, MSEDCL and NPCL discoms.

The project also reflects Tata Power Renewables’ engineering and execution capabilities, with the switchyard completed in just three months and the Harmonic Filter Bank in one month, despite compressed timelines, supply-chain disruptions and technology integration complexities. bit.ly/46j9gH1
