NEW VIDEO IN! Our second part to our Bogor foodie adventure took us to try Soto Kuning for the first time. After the first Bogor video was uploaded, we also shared some stories in our Instagram and we were flooded with DMs telling us to try soto kuning, ngo hiang, Laksa bogor, toge goreng and more. Well actually we made some bookmarks to try these cuisine but Bogor was just a short stop in our West Java trip. There were so much to eat but so little time, we'll be back again inshallah!

We are also thinking of planning a crazy trip - travelling to Laos, Vientiane from Singapore and the route probably looks like this ➡️ Woodlands ➡️ JB ➡️ KL Sentral ➡️ Padang Besar ➡️ Hat Yai ➡️ Bangkok ➡️ Vientiane ✈️ fly back home.

It’s always interesting to know a specific place through it’s food. Nah ini Mie Tarempa, the word ‘mie’ means noodle while ‘Tarempa’ is a small town in the Riau Islands 🇮🇩

It’s sweet sour spicy with an option of having it dry, wet or semi wet (some called it like Mie Nyemek) and served with Luti Gendang (a deep fried bread filled with abon ayam - chicken floss).

I was watching Kareem Rahma’s video on Syria and as soon as he whipped out a compact 35mm camera, I guess we should share ours too! We all have far too many digital images of family, places, memories stored on our phones and hard drives and someday those files will be forgotten. I want to re-live back the memories of 80s, 90s where our parents captured memories on point and shoot cams, then wait patiently for the film to be processed and we got all excited when we flip through the physical printed photo papers of what was captured. Some of these photos were taken in Iran in 2017? 2018 and the recent Uzbekistan trip - something feels nostalgic when you touch a photo paper than scrolling through the photo album in your phones.

We drove up 2 hours into Kluang, Johor Malaysia to try a complete breakfast for less than 50RM (SGD$15) for 4 persons. Kluang town has it's own character, it's definitely similar to any laid back towns in Malaysia (like Ipoh, Batu Pahat etc) yet it retains the charm of an old town, with good food and new places to explore.

Look out for our new video tonight SGT 7PM and it might just inspire you fellow Singaporeans and Malaysians to make a day trip to Kluang.
