Along with the stills of this legendary dish, we also chat with the 26 year old third gen owner of the food chain to find out more about it's accidental dish customisation that became a history.

It’s our last episode of our time in Kota Padang, tbh stepping out of comfort zone to go to a new place I have not been before proved to be worth the visit. I heard a lot about rendang and other Minangkabau cuisine and the comments from you guys from the past 2 videos has shown that there’s more food to be explored in Padang and West Sumatra. We are already eyeing the Medan and further up north -Aceh next in our travel and culinary list.

If you’re a local orang Medan or Acehnese and would like to share your local cuisine with us, who knows? We might end up meeting you in person and spend a whole day eating and learning with YOU. Let us know!

The thing about wet market is the intense crowd, heightened sensorial input, the shouting, the bargaining and the steps you watch lest you step onto a dirty puddle. For some people, the experience can be overwhelming and not something they would fit into their holiday destination. For us, since the DNA of this channel (or how it started) is actually about real authentic food, we simply cannot miss not going to the largest market in BANGKOK 🇹🇭.
For Ariffah, this is her place - where she feels inspired and alive to see all different kinds of produce, learn about the ingredients that Thai cooks/chefs use in their recipes.

We've been to Bangkok more than 4,5 times and each time, friends and family members would suggest Pratunam, some malls and Indian restaurants to have our halal meal. This time, we explored areas near the riverside on foot, relied on Google Maps and some advice from other vloggers and ended up actually enjoying ALL the local street food we ate, plus it's all halal, non was-was.
