It's coming up to the Great Central Railway Mind the Gap Weekend, and it looks like its still going to be hot, but a little cooler than it is at the moment. Hopefully they won't have to make it a diesel only event.

On Friday I'll be travelling from Nottingham to Ulverston by Northern using there Rugby Super League Day Ranger offer ready to start the Cumbria Way that I'm walking for Maggies Cancer Charity. I hope to capture my journey as I change at Sheffield and Manchester Piccadilly on route.

Wish me luck as I walk the 70+ miles across the Lake District before hopefully returning by train from Carlisle at the end of the hike.

A cold morning at Derby but managed to see the Pathfinders rail tour as well as ROG class 37 escorting the 93's to Tyseley.

Unfortunately I can't justify going on rail tours at the moment as I find myself out of work, so will also not be posting as many trips to heritage railways around the country.
