For the Love of Comics

We love comics, and these are the comics we love.

For the Love of Comics celebrates the breadth and depth of the comics medium by looking at our favourites. Featuring introductions and overviews, as well as comparisons, analyses, and more, we hope to speak to both new readers as well as aficionados!

I've been invited over to ‪@NearMintCondition‬ 's What We're Reading panel, tonight, starting in about 35 minutes!
You know me - I'm never passing up a chance to talk comics with Omar and the cool folks they always gather over there! 😁

For the Love of Comics

Tonight!
8 hours from the time of this post, I will be joining ‪@HighlandG‬ and Blackpoll for another of our trinational, rambling comics chats.
If you're not familiar, this may be the dozenth time G has had us over for a weekend livestream, and it's always a wonderful time of free-flowing conversation and surprise tangents.
Today we'll be chatting about the speed of reading comics, who knows where that will lead us!
Come along and join in!

🎏🎥(more) scenes from a livestream 🎥🎏

Not to be outdone by First Second, Drawn & Quarterly made an even stronger showing on Saturday's livestream, featuring works by Lisa Hanawalt, Guy DeLisle, Julie Doucet, Michael DeForge, Lynda Barry, Chris Oliveros, Jessica Abel and Matt Madden; as well as works I have been meaning to get to for a while, including Red Coloured Elegy, Kitaro, Palimpest and more!

"There's No Such Thing as Half a Haul!", the uncut 2 hour stream, is now up on the channel, complete with live viewer chat, link in the pinned comment.

Scenes from a livestream.

Publisher @01firstsecond once again made a strong showing on a stream of ours, this one on the spoils of an Amazon sale (featuring more of my rambling thoughts on young-reader and all-ages comics).
