I think I'm gonna be streaming a little bit less so I can focus more on the higher production quality projects

Still going live 2-3x times a week, but I think it'll help me find a better balance for what I want the channel to be. More focused on scripted videos & planned events

I'd just rather put the extra energy into bigger projects each month. Ideally I hope that ends up meaning 2 more heavier effort videos each month instead of 4 more 'ranked gaming grind 🙂' streams basically

Higher production quality can still mean stuff *on stream* like planned events, segments, guests, etc to be clear

If you noticed I've been streaming and videoing less this month, it's because I'm starting a new job tomorrow!

BUT I'm also super lucky and I'll actually have *more* time and funds to work on my own content than before, but with like. actual financial stability?

Just give me a week or two to settle in and I should be able to make even more dope stuff :)

Hey, you've probably seen a lot of channels mention a big dip in views this month. All my longform videos have been hit hard too, my most recent one is less than half the normal views

There's been a lot of rumor milling about the problem, but it turns out the exact day some ad-blockers updated is the same day everyone started seeing their desktop view numbers cut in half. This tracks with adsense remaining the same despite the lowered view counts

Before, watching something with an adblocker was an unmonetized view, now it simply doesn't even count

Until that's updated: If you want to support the channel, please watch without adblock on 🙏

The money thing isn't a big deal for me, but for a small growing channel like mine, the huge drop in views means I'm not hitting the algorithm and reaching any new people anymore. It's been by far the slowest sub growth on my channel in over a year

Basically anything that doesn't fit the main feed. Stream segments that won't be edited into full videos but I don't want stuck in 6 hour long vods, clips/highlights, etc

I've been multistreaming to Twitch and YouTube for over a year, and JUST learned that if I don't upload a YT thumbnail it'll auto-pull a recent frame from the stream and update that as the stream goes on

If you're a live viewer, what do you prefer? (poll)

I know that you used to *have* to upload one or it'd just make a super generic "this user is now live" type thing. I'm still gonna make thumbnails for more unique streams, but honestly making new thumbnails for every small 'Wisely playing a game or talking about a new update for 2 hours' always feels so silly
