After 8 years of caring for my elderly mother and sharing our daily life together, I found comfort in crafting after she passed. My crafting journey is filled with sharing the ups and downs of new techniques and ideas. The eleventh month, the eleventh day and the eleventh hour, we remember our military men and women who served our country. Today I remember my Dad, who served in the Canadian Armed Forces and who was in the Korean War conflict. So proud of you, Dad. I miss you so much!

Sorry, everyone, for being MIA, but I've been battling the worst head cold ever! I'm sure I've been through 2 large boxes of tissue. Between the sneezing and coughing, I haven't been doing any crafts. Most days and nights, I've been bundled up in bed. Hope the worst is over, but still not up to doing anything.

This morning as I enjoyed my morning cup of tea, sitting on my daughter’s front porch, I had 2 little visitors. A tiny chipmunk cautiously scurried up the walkway towards me. I imagine he was searching for some breakfast. Then a proud robin landed near the tree in the front yard. A few seconds later, another robin join him, I assumed they were searching for nice juicy worms to feed their young. These are the quiet moments I miss, living in an apartment. Sitting on my balcony, I can only capture these beautiful creatures from afar.
