And the timing couldn’t be better…
I’m preparing my ROG Xbox Ally X “One Year Later” review: revisiting the experience, the frustrations, and the big question—is it still worth your money?
But you know me… things tend to escalate. 😅
Here’s the journey:
The Xbox Ally X as a handheld.
The Bulwark dock and Auto SR testing.
The XG Mobile 5090m seeing how far we can push the setup.
And now, the X20 joins the conversation!
One handheld, an entire gaming ecosystem… and an increasingly crowded desk.
Beyond the excitement of a new box, I want to answer something useful: how much does each addition improve the actual gaming experience? And if you already own the Xbox Ally X, does the X20 give you a convincing reason to upgrade?

TIME FOR AN EXTREME MAKEOVER!
I’ve officially upgraded the contract with my personal landlord — The Mrs.
I’ve gone from occupying part of the family room…
…to taking over the entire family room and turning it into the new No_Tech-Dad studio.
Right now, it is a fantastical, Kafkaesque nightmare.
Cables.
Cables behind cables.
Cables attached to other cables.
And cable management is apparently a form of personal torture I wouldn’t wish on my enemies. 😂
But underneath this glorious disaster, I can already see what this place is going to become.
A proper space for the handhelds, PCs, GPUs, crazy builds, benchmarks, gaming, experiments… and probably a few terrible purchasing decisions along the way.
I’m seriously pumped for this next chapter of No_Tech-Dad.
The makeover begins.

A little behind the scenes at No_Tech-Dad!
Getting the OneXPlayer X2 Mini Pro ready for its next video, and I’ve got a few things to try!
We’ll go through my software and settings, fit some skins and accessories, explore the storage options, and test a selection of chargers, docks and display adapters.
I’m particularly curious about mounting an external SSD on the back. How will it feel while playing, what difference will the cable make, and will the whole thing still fit in the case? We’ll find out together!
Then it’s on to the performance comparison with the OneXFly Apex. 💪🏽👀
