We recieve Christ righteousness as a gift nothing less nothing more. Faliour we will recieve from our own works and merits. This causes self-righteousness to spring up. And isaiah said "our own righteousness are as filthy rags" and this is the deep root for contention and strife.
Do you always take time to believe what you've asked for. The moment you believe then faith for that situation is released and God's miraculous power takes over.
