SAHM • RV life
Turning setbacks into stepping stones
I was staying with my in-laws in their RV 10 hours from my family to help my husband get our RV (our home), our truck and other debts paid off. It wasn’t smooth sailing but we were making it work.
At the end of 11 weeks, I was suddenly laid off. But together, we did get the truck paid off!
While, the layoff was unfortunate, we are not done reaching for those goals of getting that solar AC system and getting our RV home paid off!! One way or another, we are going to make these goals happen!
Don’t forget to look around you today, find something good, and be grateful! It’s a beautiful life we are living!

This morning I was reminded how much of life is perspective.
I didn’t have to go for a walk today.
I got to.
I got to wake up in a body that’s still fighting for me.
I got to step outside, breathe in cold air, feel the sun break over the hills and warm my back.
I got to move, not because everything in life is perfect, but because even in the middle of the hard… there’s still good to be found.
It’s easy to get stuck in the “have tos.”
Have to clean.
Have to cook.
Have to work.
Have to keep going.
But when I slow down and actually look around… I realize I get to.
I get to be here.
I get to love these people.
I get to wake up and try again.
I get to build a life I’m proud of, even if it’s one quiet morning at a time.
Finding the good doesn’t mean everything is easy.
It just means I’m choosing to see what’s still worth being grateful for.

I know I’ve been MIA here but still here working behind the scenes.
While I still focus on my good each and every day it’s been a week of struggle & figuring some things out.
Know that I appreciate each of you for being here with me each and every day.
What’s your good today, friends?

My life ain’t perfect.
But I’ve got everything I need.
And I’m grateful for everything that I have.
And I’m working for everything that I want.
Sometimes we get so caught up in chasing what’s next that we forget how far we’ve already come.
It’s not about having it all figured out. It’s about appreciating the now while still believing in what’s ahead.

Sometimes the storms in life feel endless. Unexpected changes, tough seasons, setbacks we never planned for. But the truth is, there is always something to be grateful for even in the middle of it all.
I am learning to slow down, breathe, and appreciate the life I am living right now because no matter how hard the storm feels there is still beauty in the in between.
The sun still rises.
The journey still continues.
And there is always good to be found even on the toughest days.

I used to think happiness was something you found when everything finally went right.
But the truth is—happiness starts in your mind.
It’s choosing to notice the small wins.
It’s finding the good in the middle of the hard.
It’s reminding yourself that even when life feels heavy, there’s still light to be seen.
The quality of your thoughts shapes the quality of your life. And every day you get the chance to choose how you see the world around you.

Life has taught me this the hard way—
Nothing stays the same forever.
After the fire, we lost everything. After my layoff, debt became survival. And in those seasons, it felt like the darkness would never lift.
But here’s the truth: every season is temporary. The good ones don’t last forever—and neither do the hard ones.
If you’re in the middle of the struggle right now, please don’t lose hope. The process isn’t instant. The way out may not look how you imagined. But there is a way forward, and better days are always on the way.
So when life is good, soak it in. And when it’s not so good, hold on—because change is coming.

Last night, we crossed off the very first goal on our list…we paid off the truck!
This hasn’t just been my journey. It’s been ours. While I’ve been putting in the hours at work, my husband has stepped up in every way taking on the role of single parenting most days, running the house, and still carrying the weight of his own job.
Together, we’ve been pushing toward something bigger than just paying bills. We’re building stability, one milestone at a time.
The next goals on our list:
• Installing a solar-powered AC system so we can be more comfortable and self-sufficient.
• Paying down the RV that’s been our home through so much.
Every bit of support…every like, comment, share, and follow helps move us closer to these goals. It doesn’t cost a thing, but it makes a real difference for our family.
Paying off the truck is just the beginning. We’ve still got a long way to go, but we’re doing it together.

10 weeks in…
I traded in my SAHM life for steel toes and headed back into the blue collar world. It hasn’t been easy — 10 hours away from my family, the ranch, and our RV — but every mile, every shift, every tired night has a purpose.
This Wednesday, September 3, I get to mark off my first big goal: paying off my truck.
One step closer to that solar-powered AC for our off-grid RV, one step closer to paying down our RV.
Thank you for being apart of the journey.
