Come along with me as I learn the basics of watchmaking. See how far I go and learn along with me. Share your tips and tricks and let me show you what I've picked up along the way.

Watch As I Learn

Good Morning and Happy Friday! I hope everyone is ready for the weekend. If you liked the restoration of the Rusty Burlington Pocket Watch that I did a couple weeks ago and wanted to see how I restored the color in the text on the movement, I'll be premiering that video tomorrow morning, October 26th at 9:45 CST. I hope you can make it, it's a quick 6 to 7 minute video and I think you will find it helpful or at the very least, mildly interesting!
And if you haven't watched the Restoration video yet....here's a link to that video so you'll be ready when the new video drops.

Thanks for everything,
Mark

Watch As I Learn

After doing more research into the Inscription found on the Elgin from my latest video I found this article in the Lonoke, AR Democrat Newspaper date June 27, 1929. The article mentions the prize of a gold Elgin Watch to the winner. Just one more layer to the story. Hope you enjoy.
I'd like to thank Sherryl at the Lonoke County Museum for her help finding this additional information.

Watch As I Learn

Good Morning and Happy Sunday! I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. If you liked the restoration of the 1910 Hamden Pocket Watch that I did last month but wanted to see how I polished and re-blued the hands, I'll be premiering that video today at Noon CST. It was my first time doing something like this and did it with items found at hobby lobby and harbor freight.

Watch As I Learn

Hey Everybody! I just wanted to let you know that I'll be premiering a new video this Saturday Night at 7:30pm CST (UTC -6) This video has been a long time in the making and I hope everyone can join me. I will be here to answer questions and discuss the video or anything else you guys wanna talk about.
The video is titled "Solid Gold Watch from the 1880's sent in by Subscriber"
It was a very interesting restoration, one in which I learned a lot. It has it's up's and down's but (spoiler alert) it has a happy ending!!
Hope to see you this Saturday, Jan. 28th at 7:30 pm CST (UTC -6)
