Most Venerable Siri Samanthabhadra Thero, who recently arrived in Brisbane, Australia, delivered a powerful Dhamma discourse yesterday (Nov 26th) at a beautifully organized event.
Thero shared a profound message: the spiritual path must be followed within the reality of everyday conventions, yet simply accepting convention alone does not lead us to the ultimate truth.
To bring this teaching to life, Thero used the very hall where the event was held as an example. The organizers had removed the chairs and placed them aside so the audience could sit on the floor. In the middle of the program, Thero kindly asked them to bring the chairs back and arrange the seating again — reminding everyone that true spiritual practice is not about clinging to tradition, but about understanding life with clarity and wisdom. This simple action became a meaningful lesson for everyone present.
The event was thoughtfully organized by Arjuna Disanayaka and the team, who also prepared a generous food offering for all attendees.
