Got an email from YouTube that my channel is no longer eligible for monetization which sort of rubs me the wrong way.
I don't really monetize my video, since obviously most of my videos are con recordings and belong to Creationent anyways (in terms of copyright), so demonetizating doesn't really impact me. But the language that YouTube use is "channel uses someone else's content without making changes that add significant value", which I don't know how to make of it.
All my videos are recordings I made. They're from me. They're not from anyone else. They're not anyone else's content. If what they meant was I'm using contents that Creationent/CW created, fine. But they're still not "someone else's content". No photographer has been told their photos are not their own work even tho they don't own the subject that they capture.
Anyways! Just want to get this off my chest. No real impact but still.
BTW if you have any questions/clips from VanCon that you find most interesting and would like me to upload that, come by and drop me a comment and I'll try to get to them.
Hi :) Just want to put a quick note, that I did go to VanCon, as usual, this year. I've always taken videos year after year, and it's always been my pleasure to share the experience, knowing many people do not have the opportunity to be in that room. Recent years, I gladly notice that creationent has relaxed its regulation around video recordings and more and more amazing members in the SPN family have started recording and sharing amazing quality panels. With so many other sources, I feel that it's no longer necessary for me to process and upload the full panels, and with the urgency I previously had.
I'm sure whoever follows me for the SPN videos already know where to look to for alternatives, but just in case, I'd like to point you to channels such as Kreespa and Gayled_it. They offer much more than I do.

I've been told YT apparently no longer has a message system. I've added an email in the about section.
