TBH, I didn't understand my own value when it came to men for a long time. I gave years to someone who told me upfront he never wanted marriage or children. I justified it. I stayed anyway. And a week before my 41st birthday he ended it. That hurt, but I never gave up on myself. By 44 I was in the right relationship for me. I understood my value, so did he. By 46 I was pregnant with my first baby. By 47 I was officially a mother. The timeline was not what I planned. But it was exactly right. Life is like that sometimes.
