Howdy,
Have y’all heard about this hair mess? I just took down my hair, rocking my afro, and the algorithm fed me hair drama INSTANTLY.
So here’s the gist: a creator who’s known for sculpting her afro into shapes, hearts, stars, butterflies, all that, is taking legal action against another girl who created similar shaped hair puffs and started selling them.
The argument is that these shapes are part of her “signature style,” and the other girl’s products look too close to her brand. This turned into a full on federal lawsuit, the girl got hit with takedown notices, and her content about the hair puffs is being forced to be removed/already removed.
Y'all, there’s an actual court docket filed, lawyers involved, and they’re basically fighting over whether these sculpted afro shapes can be considered someone’s intellectual property or brand identity. It’s becoming a whole legal saga over hair art.
What are y'alls thoughts?
For images, google something along the lines of, "Afro star puffs".

Update on the $4k hair disaster from Hair by Chrissy: The creator, @NotFamous, ended up getting rescued by a seasoned stylist, Rachel Bynum, who has 16 years of experience, and she FIXED it.
Now… could Chrissy have delivered the same results? Maybe. But only if she actually did the work herself instead of slapping a ‘Chrissy experience’ fee on it and passing the job off to her assistants.
Also, @NotFamous didn’t pay a dime. I believe everything was covered. But if she had paid Rachel out of pocket, the total would’ve been $2,750: $1,625 for the hair, $750 for the install, and $375 for color.

Me: People are lining up 2 hours before open at all the Starbucks for a bear cup 🙄
My husband: Ofcourse they are, let me see, * I show him *, oh those look like the honey bottles in stores.
To all the grown adult babies that were arguing for these cute sippy cups, relax.
