Questions over possible match-fixing have surfaced in the ongoing ANFA National League 2082 after a controversial goal in the match between Chitlang FC and Machhindra FC.
In the 69th minute, Machhindra’s Alizhon Alizhonov scored a header where the Chitlang goalkeeper appeared to sit down and lift a weak hand, leaving a ball that many believe could have been easily saved at professional level.
Nepali football analyst Jonish Raj Lama openly questioned the incident, asking where the Integrity Team is, while commentator Aashish Dahal said he was shocked after watching the replay, adding it looked like the keeper “ducked”.
Technical analyst Alson Raj Adhikari on his youtube channel has also warned of suspicious patterns in the National League, questioning last-minute goals, lack of integrity monitoring, and the absence of transparency in a league behind a paywall.
City Sports Network has learned that Chitlang’s regular goalkeeper was replaced by a second-choice keeper for this match. We have also received information raising concerns about betting apps being present among football insiders, which demands serious investigation.
We are not accusing anyone but we are demanding a proper integrity investigation to protect Nepali football.
What do YOU think? Was this poor goalkeeping or something more serious?

क🚨 BREAKING NEWS
The Patan High Court has again ordered a complete stop to ANFA’s election process, putting Nepali football at serious risk of a FIFA suspension.
The court had earlier issued a short-term interim order stopping election activities. Today, the court repeated the order, directing ANFA to keep all election-related work at status quo until the final decision.
This comes just two days after FIFA and the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) clearly told ANFA to go ahead with the election on 11 February 2026, warning that any third-party interference — including court or government action — could lead to suspension.
ANFA had already informed its members that stopping the election due to outside interference could result in:
-Ban from international matches
-Nepali clubs barred from Asian competitions
-Loss of FIFA and AFC funding
-With the court ordering the election to stop again today, Nepali football is now caught between FIFA rules and a court order.
ANFA had planned to hold the Ordinary Congress and election in Jhapa on 11 February 2026, but after repeated court orders, the future of the election — and Nepali football — is now uncertain.
For now, Nepali football is stuck between FIFA rules and court orders, and the danger of a FIFA ban is growing.
