A refashion journey toward a more mindful and creative wardrobe!

In this channel, I share overlooked secondhand finds that are perfect for upcycling, what I'm learning and go-to resources, and videos on each item I've transformed from my own closet or thrifted!

A goal of mine is to make & sell my own refashion guides / sewing patterns. Stay tuned for sew-alongs and behind-the-scenes!

Ever Sew Slowly

Happy 2026! I recently finished my 4th refashioned piece using a denim top and plaid flannel I wasn't wearing. The denim long sleeve was a bit tight at the hips and the pink/blue flannel was a bit muted for me to want to wear. However, I really liked how they paired together and have been wanting to make something new with them.

It was my first time drafting and making a faux collar. It was a lot of fun to make!

I'm calling the piece the double faux denim top a reference both the faux collar and the faux layer.

What are you looking forward to reworking or sewing 🧡 this year?

Ever Sew Slowly

Hey folks, I'm Rose from Ever Sew Slowly 🐒!

I share finds like this every month in my Fabric Radar blog series and newsletter. Each edition features refashion-ready finds, explains what makes them worth rescuing, and shows you how to spot and source similar materials on your own.

This month’s Fabric Radar focuses on PLAID FLANNELS, cold-weather staples with lots of refashion potential 🧡πŸͺ‘βœ‚ !

After spending a day looking for overlooked gems πŸ’ŽπŸ’Ž, my top finds fell into four categories:

- Vintage & special wool
- Affordable everyday basics
- Playful, unexpected fabric moments
- Non-traditional pieces hiding serious yardage

Take a look and see if any inspire you ✨✨:
