I’m SAFE but things went majorly wrong. I need you to know I’m okay but videos won’t resume until I am ready, likely Jan 1st.
Also, just a huge fuck you to all the streamers I reached out to during a psychotic breakdown. Literally every one meme’d me and told me to go die while chat spammed Kekw
I’ve been through about 50 nurses here and 0% of them know what Kekw means lol
Just wanted to let y'all know I've been cooking something up for the channel that I think a lot of people might enjoy, especially those wanting a deeper look at my 'personal' life in terms of what makes me happy and more important what I think might make the person viewing happy too! I rarely share these things outside of the occasional twitter post or private message with a friend.
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and if you're in Canada, a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Let's talk about my 'First Look' style videos and specifically my recent Neural Cloud video.
My general theme for them has always been a 8-15minute video where I get a simple look at the game basics, how the story is told, voices, sounds, basic mechanics, visuals, etc. I generally go from the very start until the usual 10-15minutes into a gacha where you get to do your first summons.
This works decently well and can usually at least be entertaining. When I do these sorts of videos I am doing so knowing it's not always a fair look at the game but it's how I would approach most gachas normally so it's how I have been doing it. I'll generally decide if I want to actually play the game in these 10-15minutes and then decide if I want to go back and personally watch the story afterwards. I can tell almost immediately whether or not a game is 'for me'.
That said, this just does not seem to work with specific games. Neural Cloud is a massive example of this, the game absolutely did not get a fair trial due to how much was thrown at you and how much was going on right out of the gates. Most gachas have a huge percent similarities where the tutorials are like 'hey you can use water to beat fire and then you can use your special ability' but this was not the case here. I thought about just not releasing the video but after rewatching it I figured it'd still be entertaining for people.
Should I change how I do my First Looks? Expanding on them is always an option but the time restraints are massive. A quick and fun 'first look' might take me twenty minutes where I have a lot of personal fun and if the game is enjoyable I generally do a followup video. If I was to expand on Neural Cloud it would have likely taken me days to really get into the game enough to give a thought out and semi-accurate video where it's possible a large portion of the time I am not enjoying it whatsoever.
Basically, I'm just writing this to both apologize and ask for some feedback.
