Every so often I re-watch a fan video like this and just feel sad. Maybe I just don't know where the editors are active nowadays, but it seems to me like a lot of the soul of editing--making a video about something you love, to show everyone how cool it is, or to pair unexpected things with each other and make it work and work wonderfully--just isn't there anymore. I appreciate well-timed and professionally done editing, of course, but sometimes I wish it was maybe sloppier but unique, and you could still feel the heart in it.
Of course, I would want to try and edit. No flashy effects, because I don't know how to do them. Just scenes and voiceovers. But it takes me so long nowadays that I wonder if it's even worth bothering.
Lord willin’, I’m back in business. Just updated to Vegas Pro 16 and I’m working on whipping up a quick recreation of a Daredevil vid draft from years ago. Keep an eye out for that, hopefully by the end of the week.

So I've been trying to rebuild my footage library, and I've been trying to use Handbrake to convert my mkvs into mp4s. Unfortunately, Vegas 12 will not open the resulting mp4s, and says they are either corrupt or 'of an unknown format.' Does anyone know of any fixes? I've already downloaded the latest K-lite codec pack.
