Why do I feel like a bad person just because I annoy my cats sometimes and used to spray them with water

(Reason for annoying my cats)

- I saw a video that was saying it's easy to respect y I'm it cats boundaries, and i agree with that, but I just annoy them (I used to chase them but I stopped after a while) I also pick them up, knowing they dislike it after some time (but it honestly depends on how their feeling so..)

I understand the chasing them was bad, cuz I'd never do that now. But was holding them not respecting their boundaries? As well as after clear signs that they dislike it I still hold them? As I'm typing this I'm pretty sure it is kinda bad.

Reason for spraying them:

I saw a video where someone basically said their cats never will have to be afraid of the like spraying thingies (??) and it made me feel bad because whenever my cats (original 7 kittens litter) weren't allowed to be outside (6 girl cats, 1 boy cat) we sprayed them with water so they didn't go outside (of course they weren't scared of the water) but when that stopped working we turned on a vaccum cleaned (I believe? It's been like 2 years since we started that..)

Also the spraying happened whenever my kitties (swirly and Oreo) used to live at my mammaws (so a while ago)

Genuinely need answers cuz idk

Maybe I'm overthinking or smth

I remember like a few months ago (maybe a year ago) when I was at church with my parents some random ass old guy came up to us, he talked to my parents mostly but then he asked to shake my hand (he also asked for my name I think) and he said smth else before saying smth along the lines of seeing me when I'm older or smth (he also asked my age before that, and I'm a minor, so it's weird he said that.. My parents even felt icky about what the dude said.)

No idea what he meant by it (I haven't went to church since though sooo..)
