Hi, I’m Sonia Nicolson - Architect, former University Senior Lecturer, & creative mentor.

This channel started as our moving-to-Iceland adventure - weekly vlogs building a new life in Reykjavík. Since then, we’ve gotten married, welcomed our two babies, and settled into the beautiful, everyday chaos of our Iceland Family Life. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇮🇸

Along the way, I returned to my roots as an architect and sketcher. Now you’ll also find drawing tutorials, behind-the-scenes sketching sessions, and simple lessons to help you draw just like an architect.

Hæ hæ everyone,
If you’ve been here a while, you’ll remember I used to vlog weekly - sharing my move to Iceland, getting married, and starting our family here. It was such a lovely way to document that season and connect with so many of you. ❤️

But over time, things changed. Unfortunately, some of our videos were taken and reposted without permission, including clips of our children. That was a real turning point for me, and I’ve been taking a break from YouTube ever since.

Right now, I’m not sure exactly what direction this channel will take. I am feeling a pull to align it more with my work - teaching, mentoring, and encouraging women in architecture and design. But I’m still figuring that out.
