Hi everyone. I have a major channel update for you.
I’ve been dealing with some big life changes lately, and while I will be okay I’ve known for a while I will be unable to keep to the monthly upload schedule I’ve kept for the past two years.
From January 2024 up until now (end of March 2026) I’ve managed to upload at least once a month, sometimes more, but I think I will have to make this a hiatus. I don’t know for exactly how long or how much it will affect my channel output; I may be able to continue uploads without as much of a regular schedule.
It also means I can’t always work on the bigger, more in-depth projects I would like to, even though I’m really excited about some. I’ve thought of some big experiments and some projects I know you’ll like, but I’ve had to shelve them for now.
In the meantime, I’ll still be around to answer comments.

Working on a video about one specific thing in the Toy Story 5 trailer, and I have to say I don't like the realistic lighting. It's hard to make thumbnails out of images with flat or very little lighting, but I just don't like looking at this either, even if it's realistic.
Even some of the brighter shots in the trailer are still in shadow and provide few or no highlights. There are plenty of other ways to light a shot realistically (see the last two images).
Anyone else feel the same?
