Happy December everyone! I’ve been carrying some pretty huge news in my heart for quite some time, and today feels like the right moment to say it. I just became a dad ❤️
We wanted to keep this part of our life private, so I never mentioned the pregnancy anywhere. But now that everything has gone well and everyone is healthy, I really wanted to share it with you. The last two weeks have shown me how quickly life can move into a completely new phase, and I know this is only the start.
Becoming a dad is something I always knew I wanted, and I feel incredibly grateful to step into this chapter. Having him sleep on my lap while I look at all the tiny details has been one of the calmest and most meaningful moments of my life 👣
But I won’t pretend it has all been easy and peaceful. The first days were probably the toughest days I’ve ever had. As many of you know, I’m a person who likes routines and a certain sense of order, at least in my mind. And with a newborn, none of that exists. My sleep, eating habits, self care, and exercise plans disappeared all overnight. You go from your normal life to trying to keep this little vulnerable human alive with only a few hours of guidance, while also trying to support mama in every way you can, both physically and emotionally, from one of the most intense experiences a person can go through. I don’t think I’ve ever been that stressed in my entire life.
Even so, that’s where the beauty comes in. You slowly learn how to care for this tiny person, you bond with them, and you start to see that you, as a family, are capable of more than you ever imagined. Things have settled a little now and we’ve started to rebuild some routines, so it doesn’t feel like pure survival anymore 😄
When it comes to minimalism, the home, and possessions, I’ll figure things out as we go. Babies need very little to be content, and we’re definitely not fans of the whole baby industry thing. But for these first days and weeks, we decided to keep life simple by accepting almost anything friends and family passed down from their older kids, because we’re still trying to understand both his needs and the way life works with a newborn in the house. The idea is to donate anything we don’t end up using.
So yes, the closets are fuller than usual and like half the items are things I don’t even understand yet, but it feels good to have them there for now. In general, the support from family and friends has been unbelievable, and we’ve appreciated it more than ever!
On the YouTube side of things, I'm not disappearing. I planned ahead for months so I could take some time off for the holidays and be present at home during these weeks, so there are already several great videos lined up. And no, I don’t think I’m becoming a “minimalist dad” creator, haha. I’ll keep my private life mostly private, while sharing whatever feels natural and meaningful to share, just like before 😊
I just want to say thank you for being here with me through all these different chapters. It feels really nice to share this one too. I hope your December is going well and I’m wishing you all the good things for the rest of the year!

The first leaves are starting to turn yellow here, and I feel autumn is really here. It’s such a beautiful season: nature changes colors, the light feels softer, and life naturally slows down. I’ve always seen this time of year as a chance to reflect and set things in order before winter comes 🍂
Lately, I’ve used this season as motivation to update something important to me: my course, the Simple Life Blueprint.
I first created it a couple of years ago, but after everything I’ve learned since, I felt it needed a refresh. So I added new lessons, reshaped some of the exercises, and made the flow easier to follow. My goal was to make it clearer, more practical, and something that really helps you not just think about simplifying but actually do it 🌿
If you’d like to take this season of change as a chance to create more space, direction, and calm in your life, you’ll find the updated course here: www.sunnykindjourney.com/course
Wishing you a peaceful start to autumn,
Seve 🌱

Helloo 😊
I just wanted to let you know that I’ll be taking a break from YouTube for the next 3-4 weeks, so there won’t be new videos coming out for a while. My plan is to enjoy the short Finnish summer fully, read some books in parks, spend time with friends and family, and stay in places where there are only birds chirping and no people talking. A proper Nordic holiday, you could say 😉
Hope you’re finding small ways to rest and slow down too. Thank you for being here and for all your support, see you again soon! 🌲

It’s one thing to declutter your home.
It’s another to live simply when your partner doesn’t…
When your family keeps giving you things you don’t want…
When your lifestyle feels “too different” from everyone else’s.
That’s the part many minimalists quietly face. I’ve been there too.
So over the past months, I’ve put together something that speaks directly to that part of the journey. And it’s called:
✨ Simple Living With Non-Minimalists: The Ultimate Guide ✨
It’s a practical, thoughtful resource with 60+ pages of valuable insights for anyone trying to live simply in a space or a world that doesn’t always support that choice.
Here’s what it can help you do:
📦 Let go of clutter without constant conflict
🚫 Say no without feeling guilty or rude
🌿 Stay grounded and confident in a world that always wants more
It also includes exercises, printable worksheets, and reflection prompts, plus an audio version if you'd rather listen than read 🔉
Check it out & get the guide here: www.sunnykindjourney.com/nonminimalists-guide 👈
P.S. I wanted to keep the price quite reasonable so more people could access it. I truly believe the value and transformation this guide offers is worth far more than what it costs. That said, I’ve also added a 20% launch discount as a thank you for those who’ve been following and supporting me (so, you) 🙌

❄️An important question: For those of you who have simplified your life, what’s the hardest challenge that came afterward? What now feels complicated, or what still feels frustrating?

Heyy, I’ve got something cool to share with you! 🌱
I was recently a guest on a new podcast called Handprints. In the episode, I share my journey with minimalism and slow living, and we explore how this lifestyle can impact society as a whole.
One of the best parts was that I got to choose the location, so we recorded it here in my city, in my grandfather’s garden surrounded by apple trees. Such an amazing experience! 🌳
The episode is out now, so go check it out: https://youtu.be/1xTmkUAya1o 😊
