PLASTIC TRAGEDY

Inspired by music of Му́мий Тро́лль, here is an another song that has been on the works for long time. After I added a solo inspired my ambient projects and added some weird guitar noises it turned out pretty good even if I say so myself. Music video is just collection of clips from me working on some stuff on this album - I am not even playing this song, instead one that were dropped from the LP, but accidentally it used same chords and tempo so it kinda fits…

LUNA (WHEN THE WANDERER ARRIVED)

I don’t normally wander too far away of 4/4 rhythms, but for this one I tried something different. And it was hard to wrap my head around that. But the end result is a song that I am really proud of, so all the headaches were worth it. Also has one of my favourite bass tones so far (who would have guess that updating a cheap knockoff to a little bit better instrument would make such a a different?). And that is pretty much it. I named the song after a terrible scifi novel as it had kinda similar vibes to its story. And music video is your usual “Juho walking around Turku at night and taking random videos” edited together.

BRAINDANCES 4 BRAINWORMS

One of the more upbeat songs on LUNA. This one has been searching its final form for a long, long time. The synth and acoustic guitar were the leading instruments but it felt like something was missing, and after I added the lead guitar with some funny delay effects “Braindances 4 Brainworms” was ready. Still it is overall pretty similar to the first demos I strummed on acoustic guitar years ago, which is kinda fun to think about. Music video has some quotes from Cyberpunk 2077, because why not. It is a great game and story after all.
