Pure Light Ministries

Welcome to Pure Light Ministries! The remnant of Israel is growing as we eagerly await the return of Messiah. Although a majority of the church has gone astray, those who have been born-again strive for the fear of God, in obedience to the Gospel of Yeshua (Jesus)!

Don’t Put the Cart Before the Horse — You Need a Horse to Pull Your Cart
👇
True saving faith is not passive belief nor empty obedience; it is a living relationship that moves. Picture salvation like a horse-drawn cart. The horse represents God—His power, grace, and initiative. The cart represents our faithfulness—our obedience and surrendered life. The destination is the Kingdom. The two are inseparable, but they are not interchangeable.

First, the true picture of saving faith. God is the One who gives power. “By grace you have been saved through faith… not of works” (Ephesians 2:8–9). Yet the person with true faith gets into the cart—they trust God enough to obey Him. “Faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead” (James 2:17). Entering the cart is repentance. Staying in the cart is obedience. Not to earn salvation, but because real faith follows. “If you love Me, keep My commandments” (John 14:15). The horse pulls; the cart follows.

Now, the first false faith: a cart with no horse. This is commandment-keeping without faith. Religious effort, moral discipline, self-righteous obedience—yet no trust in God. Scripture warns of this clearly: “Having a form of godliness but denying its power” (2 Timothy 3:5). A cart cannot move itself. Obedience without faith is lifeless and cannot save (Romans 9:31–32).

The second false faith is believing the horse exists—but never stepping into the cart. This is mental belief without surrender. “Even the demons believe—and tremble” (James 2:19). Saying “Lord” while refusing obedience is rejected: “Why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do the things which I say?” (Luke 6:46).
True saving faith trusts the horse, gets into the cart, and stays there. God provides the power. We respond with obedience. Separate them, and you lose the journey.

Through the generations these four foundational truths have been distorted: the new covenant, grace, the law, and our identity. These misunderstandings have created a counterfeit version of Christianity. Stay tuned for my latest video on this topic🙂

The Heart of the Matter...

Calvinism presents itself as a system exalting God’s sovereignty — yet beneath its theological polish lies a subtle anti-gospel that redefines grace, denies human responsibility, and silences the call to repentance. It turns faith into fatalism, reducing the living relationship between God and man to a cold doctrine of predestined inevitability. This teaching twists the beauty of divine mercy into a rigid decree, portraying the Creator as a distant dictator rather than a loving Father who calls all men to choose life. By exalting man-made doctrines over the plain words of Scripture, Calvinism replaces the true Gospel of transformation with a theology of passivity — one that excuses sin, numbs conviction, and undermines the holiness without which no one will see the Lord. What masquerades as “grace alone” has become a distortion that strips grace of its power to change hearts and bring forth obedience. This is not merely a doctrinal error; it is a war against the true character of God and the message of His Son — a gospel turned upside down.
