NORDVAR – Norse Ritual & Nordic Spiritual Music
NORDVAR is a Nordic ritual music channel dedicated to deep, atmospheric soundscapes inspired by Norse mythology, Viking spirituality, and the ancient North.
This is the home of the Völva — the seeress who walks between worlds, listening to the wind, the earth, and the silence between things.
Here you will find Norse ritual music, Old Norse chants, Nordic ambient, and Viking spiritual soundtracks — created for meditation, inner journeys, and awakening.
Inspired by:
ancient Norse rituals and pagan traditions
the old gods — Odin, Eir, the Norns, and the unseen
forests, mountains, rivers, and the breath of the North
shamanic rhythms, cinematic sound design, and sacred stillness
This is not just music.
It is a call.
Put on headphones. Slow down. Listen carefully.
You were never meant to forget. You were meant to find 'home'.
NORDVAR
Some of the music you will hear over the coming weeks began as a project we had hoped to share with you in late spring.
Life, however, had other plans.
With full-time jobs, staff absences and simply not enough hours in the day, the project was delayed. The songs remained with us, waiting to be finished, polished and finally given the attention they deserved. We can't wait, so most videos will not be up to our standards, but the music is what counts most.
WHEN THE EARTH SINGS is inspired by summer in the North — long Scandinavian days, forests, rivers, midnight sun, fireflies, bare feet in the grass and evenings around the fire.
But there is another spirit running through this music.
Something much closer to home.
Slavic blood. Slavic rhythm. Slavic joy.
NORDVAR has never been about recreating one place or one moment in history. Our music lives somewhere between the North and the East — between Nordic atmosphere and the Slavic spirit that has always been part of who we are.
And the old world wasn't always dark.
Our ancestors didn't spend every evening staring solemnly into the fog waiting for Odin to send them a raven...
They danced.
They sang.
They laughed.
They celebrated the sun, the rain, the harvest, the changing seasons and simply being together.
There is a time for our deeper songs. A time for remembrance, healing and reflection.
But there is also a time to take off your shoes, feel the earth beneath your feet and be happy to be alive.
That is the spirit of WHEN THE EARTH SINGS.
BAREFOOT begins the journey.
We also have many older NORDVAR projects still waiting to be finished and polished. As summer slowly gives way to autumn, we hope to become much more active and finally open some of those doors.

This weekend, we'd like to invite you to try something different.
Nearly a thousand years ago, people in the North practiced a tradition known as Útiseta — "sitting out."
The idea was simple.
Find a quiet place beneath the open sky.
Sit.
Listen.
Let the night become your companion.
This Friday, Nordvar's newest project arrives:
Útiseta Ritual
Almost two hours of uninterrupted Old Norse meditation, sacred ambient music and silence, following one complete journey from sunset until dawn.
If you can, we'd love for you to experience it outdoors this weekend.
Find a quiet place in nature, away from distractions. Play the music through your phone or a small speaker, allowing the sounds of the wind, the trees and the world around you to become part of the ritual.
Close your eyes.
When the two-hour journey comes to an end, open them again.
Look up at the sky.
Stay there for as long as you need.
No notifications.
No conversations.
Just you...
...and the night.
Sometimes the greatest conversations happen when nobody is speaking.

A small announcement from the North...
Many of you have asked for longer ambient journeys, ritual atmospheres, temple soundscapes, and the peaceful places that exist between Nordvar's songs.
For a while, we considered creating a Nordvar Premium section for these soundscapes.
But the more we thought about it, the more we felt these journeys should remain open to everyone...
