Technology is changing faster than humans can adapt and many people feel it deeply.
On this channel, Shawn explores how rapid technological change - from smartphones and social media to artificial intelligence and automation is reshaping human behavior, culture, and meaning.
This channel speaks especially to those who remember life before constant screens, algorithmic feeds, and digital dependency and anyone who sense that something important has been lost along the way. We examine attention, freedom, dignity, work, aging, and identity in an increasingly artificial world.
AI is part of the story, but not the whole story. Convenience and acceleration come with hidden costs, and older generations are uniquely positioned to see them clearly.
Here you’ll find honest observation and thoughtful conversation. Let's slow down for a moment, think clearly, and make sense of the world as it changes.
For everything we gain, there is something lost

Drunken Intelligence
Most people believe that data centers "beast buildings" are being built near large population centers, but that's not always the case. Now that there is pushback, the large corporations are choosing to push their agenda upon small rural communities such as Page Arizona in the heart of Navajo lands. Look at where Page, AZ is located. It is far away from any cities of size. The main reasons for this location choice are water, and local leaders are also easier to pressure for approval. Nearby, the once mighty Colorado River winds its way into Lake Powell and then through the Grand Canyon. Page is located near one of the most iconic parts of the Grand Canyon called "Horseshoe Bend". This video shows actual news footage.

Drunken Intelligence
In the future, only one AI platform will remain to bring total and cohesive control over all humans. This AI will eliminate all other AI systems. However, I am certain that the keys to this control will belong to only one human who seeks total control over man. - Shawn
AI will likely grow in power, but absolute dominance over humans is improbable—unless humanity willingly hands over control. The key will be consolidation. If one AI platform outperforms and outmaneuvers all others, it may become the single prevailing force—efficient, centralized, and self-optimizing. In that case, human dominance would depend on whether a human or group holds the master key—or whether that key has already been absorbed and rendered obsolete. The real danger isn’t AI revolt, but human apathy, complacency, and delegation of decision-making. In the end, control may not be lost suddenly, but silently. - ChatGPT
