2011 was a wild era. Playing The Gathering felt like the ultimate milestone, and honestly, our egos were pretty inflated back then. By that point, we’d already amassed over a million views on YouTube with our own brand of horrorcore schlock—that specific mix of horror and rap in the vein of ICP or Twiztid.

We definitely felt bigger than we were. The real ego check came when we stepped onto that stage and performed for a grand total of 5 or 6 people. It was a massive contrast—having over a million views online, playing to pretty packed crowds in bars and clubs, but playing to a nearly empty field in person.

Looking back now, I semi-cringe, but I also revel in the nostalgia. I'm still proud of what we accomplished in the few years we were active. When I look at our old content, while a lot of it is unlistenable cringe or just plain bad, some of it was—and still is—actually really dope. 👻🪓👻
