Let’s be crystal clear: Scream 7 isn’t just a disappointment; it is a profound betrayal.
For decades, the Scream faithful have kept this franchise breathing. We are the ones who analyzed every frame, dissected every motive, and campaigned relentlessly for the one thing that actually makes sense in this convoluted lore: the return of Stu Macher. You knew exactly what we wanted. You knew the fervor behind the "Stu is Alive" theory. And instead of honoring that legacy, you chose to use him as a cheap, digital bait-and-switch.
To use a Deepfake AI "Stu" to taunt Sidney—and by extension, the fans—is a level of disrespect that is frankly hard to fathom. It wasn’t a clever subversion of expectations; it was a slap in the face. You dangled the return of a legendary character in front of us only to reveal "Marco," an IT guy from a mental institution? It’s lazy, it’s insulting, and it’s a middle finger to the community that built your career.
You replaced the charismatic chaos of Matthew Lillard’s legacy with a hollow, tech-gimmick plot that felt more like a rejected Black Mirror script than a Scream movie. We didn't want a CGI mask of the past; we wanted the actual stakes of one of the original killers coming back to finish what he started.
By choosing a neighbor and a random techie instead of the most anticipated return in horror history, you’ve proven how out of touch you are with the heartbeat of this fandom. You had the chance to give the fans the ultimate payoff. Instead, you gave us a "stupid reveal" that renders the history of the franchise a joke.
Consider this a wake-up call. You didn't subvert our expectations; you ignored our loyalty. The fans deserved Stu Macher. All we got was deepfake nonsense.
