வணக்கம்,
தமிழ் மாதம் ஆடி வந்துவிட்டது. நம் முன்னோர் சொன்னது போல், "ஆடிப் பட்டம் தேடி விதை". மண் தயாராக உள்ளது, மழை வரப்போகிறது — விதைக்க இதுவே சரியான நேரம்.
சொந்த காய்கறித் தோட்டம் தொடங்க நினைத்தால், இப்போதே தொடங்குங்கள்:
1. மண்ணைத் தயார் செய்யுங்கள் — மேல் மண்ணை மெதுவாக கிளறி, களைகளை நீக்கி, மட்க்கூழ் (compost) அல்லது சாண உரம் கலந்துவிடுங்கள்.
2. பருவத்திற்கேற்ற காய்கறிகள் — கீரை, வெண்டை, அவரை, கத்தரி, மிளகாய், சுரைக்காய் வகைகள் ஆடிக்கு ஏற்றவை.
3. கவனமாக விதையுங்கள் — மெதுவாக நீர் ஊற்றி, மண்ணை ஈரமாக வைத்து, வெயில் படும் இடத்தில் வையுங்கள்.
சில வாரங்களில் உங்கள் வீட்டிலேயே புத்தம் புதிய காய்கறிகள்!
