Quick update since I always forget this tab exists: The Wife and I... Why does that sound ominous? The Wife and I moved closer to work, and it all happened way faster than expected. Thought I had a few months to plan things out… turns out I didn't, and because it happened so quickly, something might have gotten misplaced... Like the Hard drive with all my YouTube stuff, short videos, etc. It's been found, but it took a while.
Because of all that, some of the video ideas I had lined up don't really make sense anymore (like the Renegade's review), so I’ve been reworking what a proper "comeback" video should be.
I do have one in progress now, it's pushing close to an hour, so hopefully that makes up for the gap a bit.
That said, with Destiny being… Deadstiny, and me not having much interest in Marathon, (extraction shooters just are not my kind of PvP, my flavor of brain chemistry doesn't like the stop and start nature of it, I prefer arena PvP.)
So outside of talking about it academically as a product, in a line of products, and what it means for Sony/Bungie, I couldn't care less about Marathon.
SO! I want to hear from you all: What do you actually want to see going forward?

And I've just now made it to The Book of the Unveiling, Jakob Böhme "the shoemaker philosopher", Six Theosophic Points," chapter IX, John Milton's Paradise Lost, transcendentalism, which gets us to Emerson, all books are the same book, and Moorecock's extension of that, if all books are the same book then all heroes are the same hero, worked out, according to author Michael Chabon, independently of Combles hero's Journy, (because it's not REALLY the same idea when you get into it, Camble says there's a monomyth that stories fallow, Moorecock says all hero's ARE the same hero.) Which gets us to the Marathon KYT terminals "i have been roland, beowulf, achilles, gilgamesh; i have been called a
hundred names and will be called a thousand more before the world goes
dim and cold. i am a hero." Which gets us back to both the Book of Unveiling, and Elric of Melniboné... And Bungie King In Yellowing themselves. By creating memetic entities that want nothing more than the game to end, and how do you end the game? You stop the creator's ability to create.
Apollo.
Prophecy.
Fate.

Turns out my calling Marathon stylish and defending the aesthetic at least a bit was more prophetic than I could have imagined, given Bungie allegedly plagiarized it. There really isn't an original idea in that studio.
RE: My Camra Sucks. Yeah, I know, I've only ever used it for streaming, which is once a blue moon maybe, and when you're a small box, it doesn't matter. I am looking into upgrading. if anyone has suggestions, I'll be happy to hear them out, but I wanted to see how live action would land with the community before spending money on a better cam, no sense in wasting money if I'm just going to go back to PNGs.
