Today, we remember the most agonizing act of love in human history—when Jesus Christ willingly gave His life for the forgiveness of our sins.

What He endured was not just a spiritual sacrifice—it was physical torture, emotional abandonment, and complete humiliation.

✝️ This is what Jesus went through—for you, for me, for all of us.

He was betrayed by a friend with a kiss.
He was falsely accused and spit upon.
He was blindfolded and beaten—His face swollen and bruised.
A crown of thorns was shoved into His scalp—blood running down His face.
He was stripped and scourged— lashes with a whip embedded with bone and metal, ripping open His back and sides.
He was mocked and clothed in a purple robe, then struck again.
He carried a heavy wooden cross—through the streets, collapsing from exhaustion and blood loss.
At Golgotha, nails were driven through His wrists and feet.
He hung in agony for hours—every breath a struggle, body trembling in shock.
The weight of all sin—past, present, and future—pressed upon Him.
He cried out, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?” (Matthew 27:46)
And finally, He declared, “It is finished.” (John 19:30)

This wasn’t just death—it was substitution.

He was crushed so we could be made whole.
He bled so we could be cleansed.
He was bound so we could be set free.

To the men and women of Operation Airdrop delivering much needed supplies to Asheville, you are the good our world needs! 🤍 May God protect the pilots flying in supplies, and carrying out relief efforts to the areas hit with widespread devastation. May God watch over those currently carrying out rescue missions, and recovery missions. May God strengthen the hands of those packaging tons of supplies collected from members of our local communities; everyday men and women who have chosen to work side by side despite their differences in political affiliations, or otherwise. And may God watch over, encourage, and bless those who have experienced loss resulting from Hurricane Helene.
