Ephesians 6:12 reframes everything:

“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood…”

Meaning:

Our real enemy is not people
Not pastors
Not believers with different convictions
Not expressions we personally dislike

Yet many believers fight flesh and blood battles while claiming spiritual warfare language.

“If a lot of believers understand this, there won’t be much stone being thrown at the house they live in.”

Stones thrown at others eventually land on your own house
Judgment without mercy creates a **culture of suspicion, not holiness
When believers attack believers, darkness watches and laughs

Spiritual warfare is not:
Criticizing appearances
Policing personal expressions
Weaponizing scriptures to shame others

That is misdirected energy.

Misplaced Battles Are Spiritual Distractions

Paul did not say: “We wrestle against tattoos, trousers, hairstyles, or generational differences.”

He said: Principalities (systems of influence)
Powers (authorities behind structures)
Rulers of darkness (organized spiritual opposition)

When the church fights itself:

The enemy does not need to attack
He only needs to watch

Stones vs Swords

Jesus told Peter to put away the sword, but many believers have replaced it with stones:

Stones of accusation
Stones of moral superiority
Stones of cultural tradition

Yet Scripture says:

“The weapons of our warfare are not carnal…”(2 Corinthians 10:4)

Stones are carnal.
Discernment is spiritual.

People who are quick to condemn others often: Do not realize the same standard will revisit them
Are fighting battles God never authorized
Are exposing their own house while targeting another’s roof

Grace teaches discernment.
Pride disguises itself as zeal.

If believers truly understood Ephesians 6:12:

There would be less public shaming
More prayerful engagement
More patience with growth
More focus on darkness, not brothers

The church would become a fortress, not a firing range.
