The Navjot Singh Show with Major Samar Pal Singh Toor hosted by Navjot Singh, Former IB Officer & Enforcement Officer.

The Navjot Singh Show: www.youtube.com/playlist?list...

Major Samar Pal Singh Toor is a 3rd Generation Indian army officer. He has been commissioned in the Indian Army for many years. He shared his experience of serving in Siachen, and Africa. He also shared his battlefield experience.

A biopic is being made on his experience by John Abraham productions. A story inspired by Major Samar Toor's UN mission in South Sudan will be made by JA Entertainment. John Abraham will play Major Samar's Role in the movie. It will be a combination of 13 Hours and Black hawk down movie theme as a similar situation which Indian troops faced during the South Sudan civil war. The movie is set to release in 2026 first quarter.

EXPERIENCE IN SIACHEN
“In Siachen, the environment is harsh. It was my first posting. That terrain pushes you beyond your mental will. It is difficult to breathe. You have to carry all the weapons. The temperature is minus. You have to fight these situations.

“Due to lack of oxygen, you can’t sleep properly. You don’t feel like eating. In normal conditions, half an hour would be enough to cook or boil the vegetables. There it used to take one hour to just come to its normal state. We had canned food there. For energy, we had chocolate, and we had ready-to-eat meals.”

SERVING IN SUDAN
“Right after Siachen, I went to Sudan. I had a break of 6-7 months. But I was training at that time. We were to move in 2013. On the flight that we boarded in South Sudan, I was the nominated officer of my troop. We had to receive the mortal remains of Lieutenant Colonel Mahipal and four other soldiers. It was a goosebump kind of feeling. Collecting the mortal remains and side by side, my troop was lined up to board the same aircraft in which the coffins came. It is a big deal to be assigned by the UN to go on foreign soil to operate. But while boarding, our mindset changed. There are two tribes there. One is the Dinka tribe and the Nuer tribe. All is well till they are together. But one day, when a failed military coup took place on the 6th of December around 600-700 Nuer were massacred. In military barracks, the troops went rogue. The soldiers turned onto themselves. The Nuers tried to regroup. We were careful, and eventually, on 19th December, there was an attack where around 3000 Nuer tribes took over a UN base. All were armed, and they shot 46 refugees, and many things went wrong.”

Who Is India's Greatest Threat? | The Intelligence War Every Indian Must Understand

Who is India's greatest threat today?

Is it conventional warfare, terrorism, cyber attacks, radicalisation, proxy warfare, or something even more dangerous?

In this video, I explain how intelligence agencies work to identify and neutralise threats before they become headlines. We discuss Pakistan's long-term strategy against India, the use of terrorist networks and proxy groups, psychological and information warfare, and why intelligence remains India's first line of defence.

This is not a video about the history of RAW or the life of R. N. Kao. Instead, it is an attempt to understand the invisible battle that shapes India's national security every single day.

Topics covered:
• What is intelligence?
• Who is an Intelligence Officer?
• Why intelligence is the first line of defence.
• Pakistan's proxy warfare strategy.
• Terror infrastructure and covert operations.
• Hybrid warfare and information warfare.

Who was Anna Chapman — the red-haired Russian spy who managed to infiltrate elite circles in the United States before becoming one of the most famous intelligence operatives of the 21st century?

In this video, we uncover the fascinating story of Anna Chapman, born Anna Kushchenko in Volgograd, Russia. Raised in a family connected to Soviet intelligence, she grew up in an environment shaped by secrecy, espionage, and international intrigue. From studying in Moscow to building a new life in the United Kingdom, adopting the Chapman surname, and eventually moving to New York, her journey reads like a real-life spy thriller.

We explore:

🔴 Anna Chapman's early life and family background
🔴 The legacy of the KGB and its transformation after the Soviet Union
🔴 How Russia's Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) recruits and trains intelligence officers
🔴 The infamous Russian "Illegals Program" operating inside the United States
🔴 How Anna built connections within influential American circles
🔴 The FBI investigation that exposed the spy network
🔴 Her dramatic arrest and the largest Russia-US spy swap since the Cold War
🔴 Why Anna Chapman became a celebrity after returning to Moscow
🔴 State School No. 4 and the modern training of Russian intelligence officers
🔴 The continuing shadow war between intelligence agencies like the CIA, FBI, SVR, and former KGB networks

Espionage rarely makes front-page headlines. Most intelligence operations remain hidden in the shadows. Yet every once in a while, a story emerges that captures the world's imagination. Anna Chapman's story is one of those rare cases.

Watch till the end to understand how modern intelligence agencies recruit, train, and deploy spies in an age of surveillance, cyber warfare, and global competition.

𝗜𝗕 𝗔𝗖𝗜𝗢 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗨𝗟𝗧𝗦

Heartiest congratulations to all the candidates who have made it to the final list.

Over the last few days, I have received more than 100 messages from selected candidates. Every message carries a story of sacrifice, discipline, uncertainty, perseverance, and ultimately, success.

While it is always satisfying to see candidates acknowledge the role of mock interviews, guidance sessions, and personality development programmes, the truth is that selection is never the result of any single mentor, course, or programme.

Success belongs first and foremost to the candidates themselves.

It is the result of countless hours of preparation, consistent effort on days when motivation was low, the courage to learn from mistakes, and the determination to keep moving forward despite setbacks.

If our interactions, discussions, mock interviews, and feedback contributed even in a small way towards improving your confidence and helping you present the best version of yourself, I consider that a privilege.

As a mentor, there are few moments more rewarding than seeing hard work bear fruit and witnessing candidates achieve goals they have worked towards for months and years.

Thank you for your trust.

I am grateful to have been a small part of your journey and immensely happy to see so many deserving candidates succeed.

My best wishes to all those who have been selected as well as those who narrowly missed out this time. Remember, one result never defines your potential. Stay focused, keep improving, and continue moving forward.

Congratulations once again to all the selected candidates.

The journey has only just begun.

Bronze Dancing Girl controversy

The recent controversy surrounding the famous Dancing Girl of Mohenjodaro has once again brought the spotlight on one of the most iconic artefacts of the Indus Valley Civilization. The debate began when a modified image of the statuette appeared in a revised NCERT textbook, leading to concerns among historians and archaeologists about historical authenticity and the accurate representation of archaeological evidence. The episode serves as an important reminder that historical artefacts are not merely artistic objects; they are valuable sources of evidence that help us understand the social, cultural, and technological achievements of ancient civilizations.

Discovered in 1926 at Mohenjodaro, the bronze Dancing Girl dates back to around 2500 BCE and stands just 10.5 cm tall. Despite its small size, the sculpture demonstrates remarkable artistic sophistication. The confident posture, intricate jewellery, and realistic depiction of the human form reveal the advanced craftsmanship of the Harappan people. The statuette was created using the Lost-Wax Casting Technique (Cire Perdue), a highly sophisticated metallurgical process that highlights the technological capabilities of the Indus Valley Civilization more than 4,500 years ago.

For UPSC aspirants, the Dancing Girl is important not only from the perspective of Ancient Indian History but also as a contemporary example of how current affairs can intersect with static subjects. The artefact provides evidence of advanced metallurgy, specialised craftsmanship, urban sophistication, and a vibrant cultural life within the Harappan Civilization. As debates over historical representation continue, the Dancing Girl remains a powerful symbol of India's rich archaeological heritage and one of the finest examples of Bronze Age art in the world.

His name is Vozinha.

A few days ago, most of the world had never heard of him.

At 40 years old, he stood in goal for Cape Verde against Spain and produced the performance of his life. The match ended 0-0.

But the scoreline isn't the most inspiring part of this story.

Years before the World Cup, Vozinha was balancing football with everyday work. There were no guarantees, no headlines, and no certainty that all the effort would ever pay off.

At 25, he wasn't a global star.

At 30, he was still unknown.

At 35, most people outside Cape Verde had never heard his name.

At 40, millions were talking about him.

That's the lesson.

Life doesn't always reward you on your preferred timeline.

Sometimes success arrives years later than expected.

Sometimes the breakthrough comes after everyone else has stopped believing.

Keep showing up.

Keep improving.

Keep moving forward.

Your current position is not your final destination.

The story isn't over yet.

📚 KUNDMALA – A SANSKRIT PLAY BY DIGNAGA

Kundamala is a classical Sanskrit drama attributed to Dignaga. The play is based on the Uttara Kanda (later portion) of the Ramayana and focuses on the emotional and moral consequences of Sita's exile.

The story revolves around: • Sita's banishment to the forest. • Her stay at Sage Valmiki's hermitage. • The birth and upbringing of Lava and Kusha. • Rama's sorrow and repentance after abandoning Sita. • The eventual reunion of Rama and Sita and the recognition of Sita's purity.

Unlike many versions of the Ramayana, Kundamala emphasizes human emotions, duty, sacrifice, repentance, and justice. The play presents Rama not merely as an ideal king but as a ruler torn between personal love and public responsibility.

🎯 UPSC PRELIMS RELEVANCE
