Hey! Been a bit since I have given yall an update!

This month has been the month of little edits, mainly derived from lightning bolts of inspiration from recent releases like Silksong, SEED, and BAAN. As well as uploading some entries I did for fun editing events in discord servers!

I've also noticed a surge in viewership for my TBHX AMVs, no doubt in part due to the conclusion to the series thus far! thank you all so much for subscribing, and while I do have more ideas for TBHX, i'm afraid i can't guarantee any more will be coming out anytime soon. As my channel description states, I edit when the whim takes me and for right now, i'm preoccupied with other IP's i'm passionate about!

I have also been working on some exciting edits that still need to be kept under wraps for a little while due to contest rules, but I'm really looking forward to eventually sharing them with the world proper! One in particular was equally fun and challenging to do, but I feel like it’s one some of you will really get a kick out of!

I’ve been feeling burnout slowly creeping in more and more since returning to editing for this channel. Some of it is mental health stuff shaking my confidence in my abilities and wrongfully comparing myself to others. While others are life and work stress getting in the way of my motivation. However, I'm still pleased with the work I have been doing and the connections I made in the process, so I don’t plan on giving up again anytime soon!

Finally, I can give a preview for my next big sound sync edit that i will be releasing soon. I’m still very much on a Zenless Zone Zero kick, so staying true to form, It’s yet another faction edit! I hope you all enjoy when it comes out soon!

I wanted to make a ShadowCore Shoutout for the other amazing AMV/MAD editors I am so lucky to be sharing the podium with.

‪@DarkVoodoo‬ I loved your previous delusions light edit, especially as someone who also used an SAO song for one of my entries this years (a cover to be exact.) And I believe you really stepped up your game with your Rising Star winning submission, Undefeatable. The flow state you were able to achieve and maintain throughout the video was very impressive. Not to mention the stellar use of match cutting to boot!

‪@hecko_hecko‬ your entry is taking Youtube by storm and propelling your channel into the stratosphere single-handedly. and for good reason. As your editing debut, you have produced something of such caliber and quality with excellent use of sound design, shot selection, match cutting, flow, and lyric typography that it is a total WIPEOUT. You are more than deserving of the Creative Pioneer title, and if I were on the judges panel. Paranoia would be an easy masterpiece.

As always. for any editors who see this post who also submitted to this years Dripfest Contest, and did not make placements. Please know that your skill as editors and creators should not be disputed, and your confidence in your abilities, and your potential, should not be shaken. Dripfest 2025 contest results for ZZZ are out! and I got into the 3rd place Rising Star Category of winners in the video category! For BOUNCE no less!

They did spell my username slightly wrong on the winners list as of this posting. However, I have faith they will fix it soon!
Regardless, in my winners info form submission, i took extra care to prove that the video is mine!

It's time for a special ShadowCore shoutout! This time, I will be calling out peers who have less than 100 subscribers, but have shown immense potential and skill.

‪@aegithz‬ Your ability to pull at the emotions with your videos is a sight to behold. You make people smile, you make people laugh, and you make people cry. Your edits have made waves across the AMV contest circuit, and for good reason. Your ability to match cut from multiple different sources, utilization of rotoscoping, and excellent shot selection and pacing shows a degree of skill and attention to detail that betrays your relatively small time in the editing space. I’m sure your edits serve as an inspiration to many, and even if that is not the case, you are certainly an inspiration to one. And I believe that with all my heart.

‪@astielerix‬ When I was first introduced to your edits, I was blown away at your usage of sound design and your ability to really capture the essence of the character's story you are showcasing. As someone who also enjoys usage of sound to pay tribute to characters, I found myself coming back to your edits again and again to experience them over and over. Simply because you are so good at honoring those characters through your excellent shot selection, pacing, and sound design from sound effects to dialogue. The passion and love you put into your edits, the passion and love you put into your favorite characters. Shines through and through for all to see.

Your sense of humor shows in every edit you make, and your ability to learn quickly and incorporate advice has led to improvements on every single edit you have done, and will do! wow. okay, so its been a crazy morning and night!

first of all, the winners were announced for #multiversevistas and I got third place for GOLDEN TOUCH! I had hopes of getting some sort of placement, but fully understood that the competition this year in particular was incredibly fierce for AMV/MAD, so so many great works were made for it. the fact I got in is such a blessing that I am so very thankful for.

Now, there initially were issues with the contest winner placements when they were first released. if you know. you know. but i'm grateful to hoyo for quickly rectifying the issues and ensuring a more fair distribution of award placements.

with all that said, lets begin the MULTIVERSE VISTAS AWARDS SHADOWCORE SHOUTOUT!

‪@CalvinCShinobi‬ I don't want to say i told you so, because that would be too arrogant. but uh, I TOLD YOU SO! FIRST PLACE!!! You are already aware of how much I hold you in high regard, and how much of an inspiration you have been for me. To have made placements alongside you specifically, is a prize worth far more to me than whatever hoyo will send. I and others knew you always had it in you. congrats shifu!!!

‪@E_01‬ once again you have claim the second prize seat! and it is well deserved. i'm glad that after the initial hiccups you were able to get the recognition you deserved for an amazing entry in both pacing flow, and technical vfx prowess.

I can imagine that some or all of you are feeling mixed emotions right now. i've submitted to hoyo contests before along with other editor and AMV contests and felt the sting of not making any placements, or even honorable mention, numerous times. I can imagine that perhaps you may feel doubt, jealousy, scorn, and any other number of negative emotions. but also ones such as pride, motivation, excitement, etc.

if it were up to me and me alone, all of you would have made placements. you all contributed amazing edits to the contest pool. demonstrating new styles, techniques, and genres i hadn't seen before. For some of you, this was even your first time editing and posting for youtube. I want you all to know you all deserve the world.

I want you all to know that it was amazing to have competed with and alongside you this year. and that I am looking forward to all you have to offer for next years contest! regardless of the outcome this year, next year, and however many years after. just know that you can cook. so keep cooking!

Hey everyone! wanted to give yall a quick update on the channel and what I got coming up and going on!

this week, i will be releasing a new ZZZ edit as my final entry for this years dripfest contest. its similar in style and scope IGNITE. a faction/character profile on another set of beloved agents!

as for To Be Hero X content, I have concepts and ideas that seem viable, but have not yet started on them proper.

I have since been adjusting some focus onto longer term projects for AMV contests at conventions. that hopefully may stand a chance for Q4 this year. and maybe even contests into 2026.

I've been having a blast taking part in a discord editing event going on right now that is entering its final phase, so you may seem some curve ball of videos regarding that, such as this last month with "Good Luck Nina!"

as for life in general. its odd and unpredictable as always. i got some concerts i'm going to early august. not to mention my birthday is in the same month. and while I had thought i would be busy with other big life events, it seems those have been delayed to a later month.

I may also have another little ShadowCore Shoutouts lined up as well. this past month I have been blessed to have been introduced to so many talented editors and communities. to not only experience their content, but even to interact with them on a more personal level. engaging in collaboration and fostering creativity together! So of course I would like to start recognizing them for their passion and talents!

as always. for those who pay attention to these posts, and watch, like, and comment on my videos, I appreciate each and every one of you. and am thankful for your continued support!
