Greetings, VGM enthusiasts! A belated, happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate & I hope you all had a fantastic weekend!! 💫

I have a few major announcements I’d like to make – the first is a very important one: I am officially slowing down my production rate of music.

For those that have been along this remix journey, I’ve been producing weekly (almost, except for a few weekends here and there) since 2022 – I’ve made roughly 150 songs in a 3-year span, which I would consider an absolutely ludicrous amount!!! 🤯

Weekly remixes has been one of the most exciting, fun, yet CHALLENGING experiences I’ve had, however I am officially feeling the burnout. I feel like I’ve been neglecting real-life friends & family due to my nature of needing to get a song finished per week, cancelling plans and saying no more often than I’d like…which has caused a burden on my close relationships.

With that said, this is absolutely not the end of P2, in fact it’s not even close; I will continue to produce remixes for decades, at least the next 30 years if I am able to 🤣 - from now on, I’m just going to release every other week. So instead of 4 remixes a month, it’ll be 2 remixes per month, which I think will give me a much-needed break from the constant stress and pressure of releasing music weekly. Not only that, but it’ll allow me to refine my production process to improve the quality of my remixes even more than they are now!

This will also give me an opportunity to respond & produce remixes with more collaborators, including brand-new musicians that have been itching to work with me, and I want to showcase more VGM talent to the world through collaboration! It’s very tough to work with multiple people to set up deadlines, share stems, discuss ideas, etc.. while trying to release a remix per week 😅

*Ahem* ... My second announcement is … *drum roll* 🥁🥁🥁 … More live-streaming! I have had SO MUCH FUN streaming various content, whether it be studio sessions on music I’m working on, or gaming with the community! Live-streaming gives me another way to bond with you guys, the ones who make this dream career a reality, and I want to give you all a chance to see in-depth my music creation process, or have a chill night gaming! Decreasing my remix schedule to twice a month will allocate that freedom to stream on a more frequent basis. More information on this soon, and I will create polls on what days would work best for most people.

Few other honorable announcements but aren’t considered major:
In addition to streaming, I’d like to create more content outside of the generic “Longform YouTube” space - meaning creating clips for YT Shorts, IG Reels, TikTok, etc… I know, I know - those other platforms are not ideal, but I do need to reach a wider audience & stay relevant in today’s heavy short-form content world. I have a discography of nearly 300 songs; it’s time that I start promoting said discography to the masses through comical, educational, and nostalgic content to bring more people into this community!

I've been doing tons of research on how to distribute my music onto non-streaming platforms like Bandcamp so you guys can purchase & download my music INCLUDING music that cannot be legally licensed onto streaming services so you can listen to my music without an internet connection.

AND, for the cherry on top, I've been diving into manufacturing merch, which will hopefully be making its way to my website so people can start rocking the Player2 brand outside of just music!

Overall, there are LOTS of big things I'm working on and I can't wait for next year. This announcement is also not to say that 3, or possibly 4 remixes won't ever happen again in a month, especially if there's big gaming news or if I have the extra time! However, slowing down my release schedule is a big step for this channel that I think will yield significant results for the future of my music as a whole.
