First I am sorry for not posting a Forever Friday video this past week and also for no stream last Sunday.

I am sad to say that there will also NOT be a stream tonight. 😔
Just continuing to have a lot of life lifing and no energy to be what I need to be for streaming.

HOWEVER, I have been working hard on videos and have a one coming out tomorrow for Kailey Games new Friendsgiving Community Challenge! Woo!

Also since I may not be streaming again for a little bit (waiting for life to organize itself better) I will be moving the Moonshi shenanigans to videos and I have a very fun twist planned as we move into the design/decorating so stay tuned for that. My plan is to get a Moonshi video out later this week.

As always thank you so much for sticking with me through lots of breaks and pauses and slow content. I appreciate it so much and I am working hard to get a more consistent schedule of uploads going. 💙💙💙

Friendies!

Hey this is just a channel musing type of post. I am always on the struggle bus with my channel, contemplating how to change things up, and coming up with theories as to why things are the way they are.

So my latest theory is that my channel has no identity of its own. It has been primarily a doing-other-bigger-channel-challenges kind of channel. And anything that has strayed from that has done middling to poor.*
Not knocking myself just being honest.

My channel has been mainly ACNH because that was the game I was obsessed with when I started the channel and Nintentalk's Hardmode challenge is what got my channel jumpstarted so naturally I stayed in that lane for a long time. I have tried other games occasionally with again, middling to poor success. 🤭

I still love ACNH and still want it on my channel. I also need to figure out WHAT my channel actually is identity-wise. Am I going to do only cozy longplays? Or keep trying to master design/decorating? Or go back to chaotic gameplay? Make up my own wacky challenges? Play multiple games with some common through line?

I don't know. I need to experiment and see what people like AND what is fun for me (and works for my time schedule).

So all this to say that I will be experimenting with different kinds of videos in the coming weeks/months. Different kinds of ACNH videos AND other games too. Bear with me. 🤣

But also TWO THINGS WILL STAY THE SAME: Sunday ACNH stream and Forever Friday.
Sunday ACNH stream is always a special time with all you friendies so I must keep it. And sharing my forever island in cozy longplays has been really wonderful for me. It's made me remember why I love the game so much.

SO ANYWAY! Sorry for rambling. I guess I was just in a sharing mood. 😄💙💙💙

*Note: My mom's island video (which has been the most popular video on my channel by a ginormous margin) is an outlier that has been amazing and I am so grateful for all the people who have watched it and left so many lovely comments for her. That video helped me get monetized and so I will always love it.

Hi my friendies!

I just wanted to apologize for not getting a video out this week after saying I was finally back and would be posting a video (or two!) every week.

I honestly did work very hard and recorded videos on 3 separate nights, designing on Sassy Moon. But each time the video did not get where it needed to be and by the end I knew I needed to scrap the build and start all over the next night. So here we are. Lots of work and no video! 😬

Anyway, I remember now why Sassy has always been so hard to finish BUT I am determined. So hopefully next week a video will finally be ready to be shared.

Friendies! Channel update!

I wanted to let you all know that I am officially ending my channel break, especially since I have been posting some videos anyway. 🤣

BUT for now I am going to continue my streaming break. Sadz!
But since my life stress is still at an 11/10, it is helping me to not have to manage my own disappointment/guilt if I don't feel up to streaming at a scheduled time.

I do plan 100% on getting back to streaming when things ease life-wise. But hopefully videos will be okay for everyone for a bit. I miss everyone and miss streaming as I love being able to chat with everyone in real time 🥰

I also will not have any kind of video schedule but I probably will do at least one if not more per week. So just keep an eye out!

Thank you so much EVERYONE for all your kind words when I went on break and on the videos I have shared since then. You are all amazing and this community is so special. 💙💙💙

Friendies, whoa.
Last night's stream was super fun as was Sunday's but life is lifing extra hard right now and despite all my best intentions, I woke up wiped out and stressed.
I need a break.
I feel awful about this but I need to take a few weeks off of my channel.
I am so sorry if this feels flakey after JUST adding back a stream night literally a day ago. I really thought yesterday that adding some more fun would help me manage better but it is having the opposite effect because I am just too tired. I promise my intent is not to be flakey. I really thought I was making a good choice and realize now it was not.
Our life stress stuff that has been pretty relentless since last fall is reaching the next level of difficulty and I need to focus on managing that and being the best mom and partner I can be while we weather it.
Again my hope is this will just be a few weeks. This channel and this community is super important and special to me. I am not giving up. I just really really need a break.
That being said, it is possible that in the middle of this break I may feel inspired to pop out a video or two so if that happens, yay! If not I will need to be okay with that too.
Anyway, in summary, taking a channel break for a few weeks. No streams and maybe no videos during that time.
I appreciate all of you so much. My discord is still open. Feel free to pop in there and say hi. I'll still be around. 💙💙💙

Friendies! Guess what? I'm going to start streaming on Thursday evenings again.

I KNOW!

But like last fall I am going to do NON-ANCH games on Thursday (Sunday stream will stay ONLY ACNH).
I'm just trying some different things to help myself with my ACNH burnout and my need to play other games on top of life stress making it really hard to make lotso videos at present.

Just popping in a for an update and a QUESTION (poll).

So as you may have seen, I joined the One Color challenge last minute and that, being a 30 day challenge, has rearranged some of my plans.
BUT I wanted to make sure you knew that I am still finishing my hardmode island and soon will be sharing more on my 20-acre island. I just need to get the one color island to a place where I can start decorating.
Then my hope is to share design/decorating videos on all three as I work on them.
My 30-30 variant idea is still percolating too but it has some logistics to work out so stay tuned on that.

I am trying to get more intentional about my content here and make more videos again.

But I also have a question! I will continue to stream once a week and wonder what would you like to see? I do have trouble decorating on stream so I am thinking of working on some long term game goals that are fun to do while keeping up with chat. So maybe villager hunts back on my By the Species island? Or trying to get more photos for my collection with a new photo getting island? OR an island where I chip away at NM achievements on stream?

Poll time, friendies for a future series! 😃

I am going to do another 30-30 variant series with some new goals and a twist. 😏

Episodes will not post daily but instead 3 times a week (probably MWF) and I will not being doing them as far in advance so feedback during the series will be possible, woo!

BUT I need to know what length episode you all would prefer. 30 minutes or 60 minutes? These will be my usual 30-30 format with unedited gameplay and an on screen timer.

Either option works for me but I want to do what most people would prefer so you all have fun and time to watch. Let me know in the poll!
